Lake Ozark is a very nice facility.  Not a bad seat in the place. It is a high banked 1/3 mile that is fast and racy.  The track  typically puts on a great show there.  It usually has multiple grooves with cars running high and low.  First timers will be amazed by the show they will see there.

Thanks 10Sprint

I have some friends going to WoO at Lake of the Ozarks next week. They are 1st time Sprint car fans and were asking about the track.. Any body in here have any input on that track?

Tell them to sit at the top in T1....

62 cars. I love I55 and think it's one of the most badass tracks in the country but 62 cars and a two day show.......I see a lot of rubber being laid down.  Hope I'm wrong.

I hope you are wrong also; however, the current forecast is for 40% for scattered showers in the morning on Saturday.  If the rain is over before Noon, track prep should not be a problem.

No support class right?  Track should hold up fine

Does anyone know for sure about this, no camping, tailgating before the races, and no cushions or stadium seats?

I can't speak to camping, but as to tailgating, I went 2 weeks ago for the late model show & some folks were tailgating.  They were just among their group at their car.  No mingling between different groups or large gatherings was allowed.  My son & I took seat cushions (just a cushion, not a seat) & had no issue bringing it in.

Hope the weather holds up for Saturday as I have tickets for Saturday night.

ive got tickets for Saturday. I just received an email this morning from WoO telling of what will need to be done.  It's not a big deal to me but the only thing mentioned when ordering tickets was social distancing.  I probably would've still bought tickets but maybe not.

TICKET INFO

  • All tickets must be picked up at Will Call
  • Will Call will be open from 3pm until 7pm
  • Tickets will not be available for pickup prior to or after those designated times.
  • There will be no re-entry for this event.  Once you enter the facility you will not be able to leave and come back.
  • All tickets are general admission which means you're free to sit where you like. However, you must maintain Social-Distancing (6ft separation) from the next closest group and can only sit in every other row.  There is a max number of 10 people allowed per group.
  • NO stadium seats, blankets, or seat cushions can be brought into the facility.
  • NO coolers or outside food allowed.

ENTRY PROCEDURES

  • Upon arrival to the Facility you should be prepared for a COVID-19 Screening up to and including a Temperature Test & Questionnaire. Anyone showing symptoms of COVID-19 or having a temperature over 100.3 degrees will be asked to leave the facility and see a physician.
  • ALL Attendees MUST wear a cloth face cover at ALL times.
  • ALL Attendees MUST follow CDC Guidelines throughout the entire event from entry onto the facility until exit.
  • ALL Attendees MUST stay in Grandstand Area at ALL times.  There will be NO access to the Pit Area.
  • ALL Attendees must exit the facility no later than 1-hour following the Feature Checkered Flag.

PARKING AND CAMPING

  • ALL Attendees should leave one (1) parking spot in between each vehicle.
  • Tailgating is NOT permitted on the Facility Grounds.
  • There will be no onsite overnight public camping available.

MERCHANDISE AND CONCESSION INFO

  • ALL Attendees should be prepared to pay CASH ONLY at concession stands.
  • Credit Card/Debit Card at will be the only form of payment accepted at the Merchandise trailers.
  • There will be an ATM onsite.
  • Concessions will be available in the main grandstand.  Fans should follow social-distancing guidelines while in line for concessions.

We understand that you may find some of these guidelines "over the top" or "unnecessary".  However, each individual will be required to abide by these regulations in order to attend the event.  We've made a commitment to our drivers, teams, officials, staff, and fans that our Return To Racing would be managed in the safest and healthiest way possible.

Thank you for your cooperation!

If anyone traveling to Pevely I55 wants to see a 3rd night of 410s. Farmington is running 410s Saturday and Sunday. Only a 45 minute drive from Pevely for the Sunday show. I’d expect some of the non WOO teams to stay in the area and run Farmington’s Sunday show. They had 47 cars 2 weeks ago. Rain out last week.

Glad to be racing !

Is there a confirmed entry list yet?

This article was posted on the World of Outlaws website yesterday:

https://worldofoutlaws.com/sprintcars/at-a-glance-haudenschild-set-to-backup-historic-i-55-win/

Someone has posted that there are now 66 entries but I have not seen an updated list.

I would expect that most, if not all, of the prospective entries will be there.

Brad Sweet wins the main tonight with brother-in-law Kyle Larson 2nd.  Sweet lead most of it woth Kyle taking the lead for about 1 lap near the end but sweet got it back.  Maybe the other drivers will be lobbying NASCAR to take Kyle back.

Pevely had a couple of years of rubber down racing in the A main but it's always been a top 5 track for sprints in my opinion. Good to see it back to normal.

Talk about loaded lineup! Even the first non qualifier race was loaded....

Tho I don't like wins from the pole, I was hoping Jacob Allen would get his first win... oh well

The other good thing was that it dovetailed perfectly with USAC Midget race. I watched them both, 2 laptops, & thanks to micro sprint support class plus D&C Mains for Outlaws, I didn't miss any important parts of either event

Not bad.... but of course I prefer to BE THERE :)

"Even the first non qualifier race was loaded...."

Actually, after looking at printed results, I take that back. It wasn't "loaded", but had some respectable racers: Ian Madsen, W. Johnson, D. Scelzi, Zeb Wise

I guess I got carried away... it was good! ;)
