Chassis ? Whatever.......but Larson can win in any of them..
Shane is a great guy, but he's not producing the results he's paid to do.

I think it would be fitting to put Rico in the 2 car but maybe Larson doesn't want buisness to get in the way of their friendship.

Is this a guess or real info? Do tell! I don't see cjb letting go of gravel at this time I wouldn' think it would be the 5 car.

Maybe CJB didn't get rid of Gravel but Gravel quit instead. Two crew guys just changed and Jackson doesn't appear to be the easiest guy to work for. Ask Fred Rahmer.

Biggest load of bull I've heard in a long time.    Sammy has been clueless on a competitive setup with since the WoO switched back to Hoosier tires.   The entire time he was with Gravel's team he was nowhere near as competitive as Gravel was.   Sammy can still drive, but he needs to stick with 360s now where he might win races.

I think he is joking/being sarcastic. Although I think the time that Sammy spent as a teammate helped with the success that team had last year. Gravel is just an average driver and  i think they peaked out right off the bat and just aren' moving forward and alot of other people are.

I'm not sure what you define as average?

Gravel has won in a few different cars, sometimes not the best cars at the track and on a pretty wide variety of tracks, if that is average, then wow. Is he Schatz? No, but I'm not sure if there are 4-5 guys in the winged sprint car world right now I would take ahead of him in a neutral car on a neutral track for one race if I needed to win.

Yea, Gravel is definitely better than "average"!!!

How many guys can pull off a perfect score on Knoxville Qualifying nite???

Just change "might win" to "consistently wins"....

I've seen him win Allstar races within the past 2 years also

So 1 or 2 wins in these cars that are supposed to be so bad? What cars are these that are supposedly not the best? Well he is 3rd in points and tied for 4th for wins so how is he so better than average? Your obviously a gravel fan but I don't have a favorite I don' root for anybody I'm neutral. And when I say average I mean professionals doing it for living.I don't mean average compared to every sprint car driver in the country he is obviously better than average in that aspect due to the amount of talent and skill acquired  racing so much following the woo tour

Uhh no I'm sorry, I was there that night. It had nothing to do with luck, that was talent. If some cars fell out in front of him that is one thing but he flat out drove by everyone. If someone feels that he is average then they are entitled to that opinion, but a perfect score at the Nationals is not luck.

Hahahahaha. I agree that luck plays a part in racing.....but you do NOT, I mean you most definitely do NOT luck into a perfect 500 at the Knoxville Nationals.  The only luck would be the draw for your time trial. The invert for your heat eliminates the luck portion. Ya gotta be badass to go from the back (ok 8th) of your heat race to take the checkered flag.  Then ya gotta hold off 23 of the best damn drivers n the country to get a perfect 500. No easy task and, to my recollection (and I could be wrong), only someone named The King has also accomplished the task. Are you saying King Kinser was lucky too. If ya do, well that will require a whole different thread.

actually no I am not a Gravel fan....but that doesn’t mean I can’t respect his talent.  and BTW didn’t he win an Outlaw race or 2 in a Bill Rose car?  When were those cars ever competitive with anyone else behind the wheel?  A guy from Connecticut doesnt just get an outlaw ride by accident.  And how does 3rd in points and 4 th in wins on the Outlaw tour equate to average.  If that’s average I can think of over 100 Sprint car drivers in the country that would love to be that average.

I'm not the biggest Sammy Swindell fan but I'm sure glad they didn't switch to Hoosiers 20 years ago as he would have been just another flash-in-the pan racer.

Here all this time I thought he was one of the best ever, but it was all about the tires.

;)
