Not driver related, but on Winged Nation Brian Carter from WRG mentioned the WoO wouldn't be taking a weekend off from Volusia until late October, and would have options if they couldn't race in California. He mentioned races in Mississippi and Louisiana (if I heard correctly) happening early in the season.

I agree on all accounts. Only way for him to take the stigma of not being a short track ace and toss it to the side is to jump on that pony and ride. You're correct as well with lots of Casys on n that area and I love their pizza ! Here's to Mr Quiring putting that area back on the map!
