Days Inn Host Hotel for NCRA Oklahoma Modified Opener
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - March 12, 2009 - Park City, Kansas - Days Inn in Elk City will be the host hotel for next Saturday nights (March 21) National Championship Racing Associations season opener at Elk Citys I-40 Speedway for its Oklahoma modified and sport modified division, it was announced Thursday.
Rates are $66.00 per night for double bed and $59.00 for single but you must mention your racing with NCRA for this discount. The offer is good for out of town race fans as well. Call them at (580) 225-0305. They have plenty of parking for you racers and there is also a Denny's connected to the hotel.
Action will get underway on Friday night as the track will have an open practice session from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM. Pit passes are $10 while admission to the grandstands is free.
Over eighty modified drivers from at least three states are expected for the first ever NCRA appearance to the city in its 39 year history of sanctioning dirt track racing. The tracks weekly divisions of bombers, factory stocks and pro stocks will also compete both nights.
The Cherokee Casino-Resort "A" feature for the Oklahoma modifieds will pay $1000 to win and $200 to start the twenty car field. All "B" feature non-qualifiers will receive $100. Entry fee is $50. The sport modified Cherokee Casino-Resort "A" feature will pay $500 to the winner with $100 to start the twenty car field. All "B" feature non-qualifiers will earn $50 with entry fee $25.
Gates open next Saturday at 3:00 PM with racing set to begin at 6:00 PM. Pit passes are $25 with adult general admission $8, children 6-12 $4 while kids five and under are free.

This motel is also across the street from a McDonalds, Long John Silvers, Arbys, Western Sizzlin, Quiznos and Elk Country Cafe.

Here is the tires section from the NCRA Oklahoma Modified Rule book:

11. TIRES AND WHEELS:Hoosier 500—Hoosier IMCA or American Racer G-60. Must run four Hoosiers to be eligible for points. If American Racer G-60 is run you will not be eligible for points or point fund money.
