Your use of the words two "open mind" actually got me laughing.   You are so typical of the narrow minded on both sides of the spectrum.  One side, everything is Trump's fault and on other side, nothing is his fault.

I think Selinsgrove and other tracks should be reopened in Pa and elsewhere.  The drivers, crews, fans, ticket takers, concession workers, medics all can choose to go to the races or not.

I want to go to sprint car races, I was looking forward to the Kings Royal, plus a bunch of other races this year.

I rarely post anything, I asked the Lancaster newspaper a bunch of questions and of course they didn't post my questions that I would liked answered.

Can somebody tell me why we have white blood cells?

Why did gas go from $2.00 a gallon up to $2.33 in one day if everyone is quarantined?

Why is there so much traffic on the roads?

Isn't being outside better for our health? Can you imagine the health problems we are creating for ourselves?

Not sure about everybody else but this is taking a huge toll on my mental health from all this nonsense right now. I don't want to live life in fear, one day we are all going to die.

What is really happening in the hospitals right now?

I have a job that requires me to work 3 days a week if anyone questions why I am out traveling.

I am tired of hearing about this coronavirus all the time.

I guess my parents raised me wrong and I shouldn't pay attention and question things that I see every day.

In my honest opinion this whole quarantine thing is a JOKE!

You do not quarantine the healthy.

I love the sights, sound, smells, sprint cars and everything else that you experience being at the race track.

I MISS RACING!

Please don't bash me for this I just want to enjoy the time that I have on this planet and not live in fear.

Yesterday a reporter from ABC27 posed the question to the governor why is Nascar allowed to race in yellow but under a previously ruling, race tracks were considered entertainment and not allowed to race in a county designated yellow. That is clearly a reference to the ruling about Selinsgrove. The governor's office release a statement yesterday saying the DOH is working with professional sports leagues to determine how and when professional sports may resume. They went on to say the state is still having ongoing discussions with professional and semiprofessional teams and industries including Nascar. When I read this, my first thought was the governor's office did not put dirt track racing in the professional or semiprofessional category. It isn't "important" or "professional" enough to operate in yellow unlike these other organizations. Maybe I'm wrong but it's how I took it. I believe someone needs to educate our good governor of the economic impact dirt racing has in our Commonwealth and how many people derive their income either fully or in part from racing. I bet it's far more than he would ever imagine. It's not simply about the tracks it is also about the teams. As I said in a prior post, these teams make money, spend money and pay taxes. They are a business and a much larger one than our governor realizes. No disrespect to any other division, but we aren't talking about hobby divisions. When asked about it in today's briefing, in typical politician fashion he talked for about a minute without actually saying anything substantive.  I believe a knee jerk decision was made about an industry he knows very little about.

Good post. Thanks. I also believe that people who don't reside or have a business in PA shouldn't have much of a say in the way our state is run.

You are right.....some of the governors of this country are not leaders at all,  some will not even talk to their house and senate leaders.  That is very poor leadership....I agree.  That has nothing to do with Trump.  That is very sad that governors of this land would rather talk to someone from another state instead of there own state.    Some of them should be very ashamed of themselves.

Like I said all deaths are very sad.  These are no exceptions. They the democrats want to ruin the ecomomy and that is sad. That is why we are still on lockdown.

I have done a lot of research on this you just want to read and see what agrees with you.  That is not keeping an open mind about this situation.  I have heard people from hospitals and doctors offices question why we are still on lockdown 8 weeks after the fact.  There videos are taken down off the inet right away.  Doctors and scientists from all over the USA  are trying to stop this madness but if you don't fall in line with the WHO or CDC you will be silenced.   Doctors are the ones actually treating the patients.  The WHO and CDC don't have a clue most of them havn't seen a patient in years.  Fauci is a joke with a capital J.  He should have be FIRED a long time ago.

Lets go racing and have fun.  I hope Port Royal, Selinsgrove, and Williamsgrove all gang up on our governor.  I guess Nascar is alowed to race in PA.....just not sprint cars.  What an IDIOT governor Wolf is and he proves it everyday with his lack of leadership.

So, you heard from people from hospitals and doctors-----and their videos were taken down off the internet right away.  Does this mean you "heard" means you watched a youtube video?  That's your research and open mind?

I have talked to actual doctors and nurses I know.  NONE of them are blowing this off as they are in the examples you're referencing.  Some of these doctors and nurses I know are in hot spots (like Detroit and New York City) and some are in quiet areas (like rural Illinois).  The ones in hot spots tell me we should be very thankful we are not in a hot spot.  The ones in the quiet areas are nervous about becoming the next hot spot.  We just had our first death 2 days ago.  Numbers are starting to pick up quite quickly and I'm nervous we are going to explode in cases because the spike in cases is going to coincide with the lifting of restrictions.  I know a lot of people who work for our rural hospital and they are very, very nervous right now.  We have not had very much transmission yet and it is a matter of time before we get an outbreak---especially with all of the idiots in our area blowing this off.

If you're watching doctors and nurses on Youtube, understand that these are doctors and nurses you don't want practicing medicine on you.

My neigbor works at a hospital.  I have talked to him plenty about this.  I also know a couple of other people in the medical field that are saying the same thing I am saying.

No, I don't know why when someone disagrees with the go along they are painted as  no good doctor or scientists.  I am not nervous at all about any type of breakout.  The thing I am most worried about is people overacting to a virus that is going through our country.   Too late, that already happened.  However you can't live your life in fear.  I refuse to do that.

Yes, New York,  where they were only full for a little while and now they to are laying off people and shutting floors down in some hospitals.  They didn't even use all the mobile hospitals they had ready and waiting.   They had to start sending there ventilators to other states because they never used all the ones they had and the Governor wanted more ventilators....what a quack!

I also heard a lot of experts "not from the lame stream media" that have said we have done the exact oposite of what we should be doing.  However they were shut down almost imediately because they didn't agree with the narrative of the liars, I ment to say fauci and company.

I would rather have common sense doctors looking at me than these quacks that have been wrong every step of the way.  Fauci hasn't been right yet and I have my doubts he ever will be right.  When was the last time Fauci looked at a patient?  You need to get your information from doctors and nurses that are actually practicing medicine.  That is why I talk to my neigbor and some other people in the medical field to get the real scoop.

Lets start racing again!

Your struggling here.   There is over 90K dead and that is with a semi shutdown and zero national plan and misplaced division instead of uniting the states. It has not "just dissappeared".   If no shutdown by governors (rep or dem) it would be way worse.  NY was preparing for the worst hoping for the best.  The refrigerator trucks were real! The deaths are real.  Did the doctors you spoke to work in any hotspots?  I highly doubt it.  If there was leadership and a national plan from the WH you would have been attending races for maybe a few weeks already.  You are just not getting it.  Until vaccine or cure all this is not going away.  If it does go away, its likely coming back.  The situation is also compounded with our litigious society.  It sucks but that is reality.

We will never open up if we wait for people to stop dying.  We are all dying each day....I hate to break it to you.  Not every death is covid19.  People were dying everyday before covid19 and will continue to die after covid19.

Having said all that.....LIFE is very important.  What the lame stream media is not reporting on is the suicides that are happening all over the USA or the recovery rate of this virus.  Some places the suicides are a lot more than the covid19 deaths.

Lets RACE....tell the governor if Pocono can race so can sprint cars!

"We are all dying each day ".... oh wow, I didn't know that

Thank  you "All Knowing One"

As you MIGHT have guessed, I meant dying from COVID

As with all Dems, it's about big money.  You can bet your bottom dollar that the pressure is on from big corporations that are a part of Nascar.  Grease the ol' palms and you can race.  Alot of money goes into Nascar and he's feeling some pressure from somewhere.

Oh, the Republicans are different???

Reality is the following.

You want some numbers.  For PA age 50 and under real close to 100 deaths.  45 and younger less than 50 deaths.  We are shutting down everything for that?   I don't buy it.   So we are shutting an entire state down for those amounts of deaths.  Why?  Maybe the better question to ask Wolfie is why he made the nursing homes take in covid19 patients?  Why did Rachel move her/his mother out of the nursing home?   Why do we have a psychologist telling us what to do?....yeah she knows her stuff about viruses!.....NOT!!

4 to 6 weeks of shutdown was long enough.  Now they are changing their minds every other minute on this just so they can keep the lock down longer.

You are not using common sense with this virus.  Everyone is panicing and there is no need to panic at all.

I bet if you look all over the United States...I would be willing to bet the numbers are simular state to state.   There are ways to go back to work and to enjoy activities safely, but our idiot governor will not allow it.    He is our worst governor we have ever had in this state.

The governors are in charge of their own state.  That is where the problem lies.  They are proving with each passing day/week they don't have a clue.

I just don't think his response has been good, at all

I try not to rant about it on HH, tho. I will respond to others' comments, but wish people would stop politicizing this. Its a medical issue

Like I said.  You can't handle the truth.  Here are the actual numbers for PA.   For PA age 50 and under real close to 100 deaths.  45 and younger less than 50 deaths.

Ask our fine governor why he made nursing home take in covid19 patients.  There is the real problem with this virus. Since about 70% is happening in nursing homes.

Best leader we have had since Ronald Reagan.

The other presidents in between didn't have a backbone.

Career politians all need to be replaced by newer models with common sense.  Since all career politians are not using common sense.

You are wrong.  It is China's fault.  In wuhan China in a lab is where this happened.  Whether it got at by accident is yet to be known.  It didn't originate from a bat....like they are trying to tell us.  I talked to way to a few people in the medical field that said it didn't orginate from a bat.

Lets go racing...the heck with governor wolfie....lack of leadership.

Attack him Port Royal, Selinsgrove, Williamsgrove, and Lincoln when they get in the yellow.  Give him the how to and the what for.
