Well isn't this sweet. I could tolerate (barely) rev and strawser's back and forth, but this is out of hand. Spewing DNC talking points or is it parroting op-Ed from the NY Times or Washington Post. Calling the moderator...please let's get back to sprint car racing!

these aren't dnc talking points.  i actually don't know what those are...other than shoving joe biden down our throat because they think they know who we should support.

race tracks are going to stay closed and we're not going to make any progress until politics get put aside.  i know i'm stating the obvious but that's where we are.  notice i criticized the dnc up there.  i also think governor wolf should have allowed the selinsgrove race.  he has generally mismanaged sprint car racing in general since he let 3 races go off on the weekend this was really taking off.  i'm a democrat too.  can you believe it?

gov. wolf is making the best decisions he can.  if you look at the pa curve there has been a nice peak with gradual trend down.  southern states that are reopening have been steadily going up.  we'll see what happens.  trump has made it clear it's up to the governors...after he said he had absolute power...so everybody is on their own to take the blame.  i'm sure he'll take the credit if it works out so he wins either way.  you can't deny what a great politician he is.

Typical Trump sycophant who defends then calls someone a name and feels compelled to use the lord's name.  You defend someone who cares way less for you than your own governor.  I know it hurts but deep down you know its true if you just took a minute to think about it.  I would bet you have never been to Mara-a-Lago or could even afford to join (neither could I for the record) unless you want to work there.  But you most likely could not even work there because Trump has lots of immigrant workers working there and most likely many undocumented.  But of course you love Trump because he brags about building a wall Mexico will never pay for.  He did say Mexico would pay.  By the way when Trump says China is paying billions in Tariffs that is not true. The American Consumer is.  I can guarantee you that. In my occupation I have had to raise prices multiple times over the past two years to my customers as direct result of Tariffs.  I get it, just don't lie about it.

You are probably pro life too but you are OK with just opening everything up so others might die.  I would guess you would be really upset or possibly react violently if your daughter's or son's school principal was caught on tape saying "Girls let you grab them by the p*$$^"  but its lockerroom talk when the POTUS says it?  84,000 people have died and growing!  Please don't say they are false reporting Covid-19 deaths.  Please know deaths are way up over the same time as last year.   I was hoping it was going to "dissappear" or hoping to be "in church by Easter", or go from "15 cases to 0" like our POTUS told us instead of putting a plan in place and leading the United States.  He had small window to take the lead and unite and surprise many people.   Just couldn't do it. True colors always come out.

I would hope you laughed or even perhaps got mad when Jared Kushner got up and spoke to the Nation!  WTF was that? Maybe we can agree on something.  That was so weak.  You know that is his son in law?  Whatever happened to General Mattis and General Kelly?

I know you love the good ole USA.  Did you get upset when the football players kneeled during the national athem?  How pissed where you when your POTUS, who dodged the draft said "I like people who weren't caught" about John McCain, a war hero and captive for 5 1/2 years!  Just a joke right?   Come on,  you are smarter than this?  Its not about being liberal or republican just listen to his own words and see where we are today.   USA needs a leader, Not this.

84,000 people died I get that.  They are all listed as covid19.  I would be willing to bet that there is a good percentage of these 84,000 that are not covid19 deaths.  It is all about the money for these hospitals and doctors.  Ask yourself these questions.  Why have suicides gone up?  Why have there been no to very few cases of the regular flu this year?  Why are we in quartantine when it is only the sick that should be quartanted?   Here is the definition of quartantine - a state, period, or place of isolation in which people or animals that have arrived from elsewhere or been exposed to infectious or contagious disease are placed.  They redefined quartantine and people are buying it.

The dumbest thing you wrote is you think our governor Wolf cares about us.  LOL, you are kidding yourself.

Why is it that 70% of the deaths are in nursing homes?  Ask our worthless governor,  why he made nursing homes take in covid19 patients?   Age 65 and older account for 80% of the deaths. You can add another 5 percent if you drop the age to 60 for these deaths.

Not everyone that get covid19 dies.  Not even close we have about a 95 to 96 percent recovery rate.  Yes, each person is important.  But we can keep the older population away from the hustle and bustle and still have quality of life.  Instead of all these sucides that seem to be missed by the lame stream media.

We should be racing at Selinsgrove tomorrow night.  But our IDIOT, COWARD, INSANE, and LYING Governor Wolf will not allow it.

US has a great leader in Trump.

For every southern state you can show with increasing numbers (which may only be due to more testing which is something they dont share), I can show you one like florida or georgia that have curves that look exactly like Pennsylvania's yet their restrictions were and are nothing like our idiot imposed. I believe our governor is afraid if he opens things up and numbers continue to decline he will look like the idiot that he is so the safest thing to do is wait until numbers are way down an then TRY to take all the credit for such a brilliant plan.

Literally the ONLY time I'll say ANYTHING positive about this poster, ever, but I agree 100%. I still don't care a lick for your racing comments, which are worthless, but this is spot on.

Holes in your argument:  (not that I disagree with the premise of your argument---getting racing back going again)

1.  We are not in quarantine.  I know of not one single person being forced against their will, to stay in their house.  Everyone has the right to leave their house.  So, your quarantine definition means nothing because no one since the cruise ships and arrivals from overseas early in the breakout, has been quarantined.  If I'm wrong, give me an example of someone who is in quarantine.  I've been to work, boating, fishing, to the store, on walks--and I live in the most "strict" state in the Union.

2.  No to very few cases of flu this year?  I believe we were not on pace for as severe of a season as the 2018 season, but we were on pace for an above average flu season as far as deaths and hospitalizations go.  It died off pretty quickly because the flu spreads much the same as Covid.  So, pretty easy to see why it went away with the precautions.  Don't kid yourself, the numbers were pretty high this year.

3.  "84,000 people died"   So far.  This number has gone from "only 10 people have died" to "only 100 people have died" to "only 1000 people have died" to 84,000 people---soon to be 100,000 and likely, before this is over, multiple 100,000 people.

4.  Hospitals are being paid by the covid death.  The explaination I got from a hospital administrator is this is much the same as how they have dealt with the unemployed and failing corporations.  They ordered hospitals to stop elective procedures which is the money maker for most.  Also, if I'm not mistaken, much of the treatment for Covid-19 is not charged to the patient.  So, to make up for these major shortfalls of income--since these hospitals pay millions to doctors and nurses every week, was to compensate them for the amount of covid patients they treat.  Seems fair.  If this person told me wrong, someone in the medical field please correct me.

5.  You list the recovery rate at 95-96%.  If this were true, I wouldn't leave the house.  A 4-5% death rate would be disastrous.   Thankfully, the recovery rate is well above 99% if the unconfirmed cases are factored in.  (and we won't know the true number of unconfirmed until this is all over)   Likely better than 99.5% actually.  99.9% for flu and it is a horrible season.

1. To this day I have not missed a day of work.  Everyday I travel there are signs that read..stay home limit travel.....only go out if you need something.  That to me and many others mean stay in your house. The governors are trying to be dictators.  We have had some people

that I work with pulled over by the cops and asked where they were going.  I have a letter in my car explaining I need to go to work since the business I work at is essential. I know people that have not left their house since this began. They get someone to get the things they need.

Try to get into a nursing home and see how far you get.

2.  When Covid19 started there was no other disease.  For instance my son in law went to the doctor sore throat and fever.  They checked him for Covid19 and he didn't have it.  He lost 5 days he could have been treated for strep throat. In any Dr eyes now if you go and you are sick they only care about one thing Covid19.  My friend almost screamed at his doctor telling them this is not Covid19.  They still ran the stupid test to find out my friend was right.

3.  Some states are going to revise there numbers down like Colorado just did.  Not the whole 84 thousand died from Covid19.

4.  You better check your story again.  I know someone who works at a hospital and they get more money for anything Covid19 related. Right now hospitals are struggling because they don't have many Covid19 patients at all. Most places were never close to being full and  couple that with no elective surgies.... you have a disaster on your hands.

5. This one I knew was a lot higher.  You can't count the ones that still have it.  Every death is sad.  But we should have never been in quarantine....and yes we were and some people still are. Lets get back to doing the things we did before Covid19. The first 4 to 5 weeks were Covid19 related now it is more political than anything else.

I hope and pray we don't see a really bad bird flu ever start to spread globally------then we will see what actual quarantine is.  Our "lockdown" has been a picnic compared to the lockdowns in other countries.  But, we are entitled here.  That's why our lockdown will not be successful like it has been in other countries and this will continue to spread because we won't get it under control----anywhere.

Our previous generations suffered terribly with disease and war.  This is not a good thing, but it pales in comparison to what people went through with smallpox, typhoid fever, polio, spanish flu, world war 1, world war 2, etc.  We could have squashed this thing in no time with a little discipline.  But, we don't have discipline in the US.  We have hatred for one another and conspiracy theories about the government our previous generations gave their lives to protect.

You proved my point exactly.  This has divided the United States, not brought everyone together.  By the way I said he cares more about you than Trump would ever, not that he even cares about you. Maybe that helps your understanding.  He just wants you to fill his rally seats and line the streets of Allentown.

We needed leadership and a plan from the start whether that was quarantine for short time and then open up. We definitely need to get back to work, I agree.  Again no plan.  He divided, flip flopped, called names just like you do.  Your favorite POTUS had opportunity to engage with his rivals (even shut them up) and bring everyone together.  If there was national plan, whether quarantine for time initially, and than open up you wouldn't be so frustrated.  POTUS doesn't want to take the responsibility like true leaders do.  One week it was stay at home, next "Liberate".  You had to hear that, it was on everynight.  His own staff was cringing and had him take a timeout.

Its sounds like you think you know the answers to your questions above but unfortunately you don't.  Do a little research and please do not repeat just what you hear.  You fall way short on your points regarding suicide, flu numbers, death rate, "its all about the money " etc.  "Its all about the money" is absolutely classic.  Listen to yourself! That's fantastic!   The fact you say there is a 95 to 96 recovery rate just illustrates you have zero understanding of how this is different "invisible enemy" we are dealing with and can not compare to the flu.  Please do some simple reseach.

Just never received clear plan from your Top Dog.  Just name calling, dividing, flip flopping.  The snowflakes are out and the snowflakes ended up being the people who made the name up themselves.  There is people now without jobs that can not even attend a race anymore.  Maybe with a plan there would have been less job loss, less death, less division,  let a lone attending a race sooner than later.  Maybe it wouldn't have worked perfectly but better than nothing.

I would be interested to know if you know anyone who died of Coronavirus.  My kid's (3 boys) middle school principal died at 47 no pre-existing conditions.  Model of health (No BS). Thats one example.  Two others, 45 (policeman) and 30 (HS teacher) close to home (Again No BS).  I can guarantee you they would have survived the FLU.  Ask their families. I understand we need to get back even with these horrible deaths, but 0.0 real true leadership has been provided, hence where we are today.  By the way I am not even a Democratic.  We have known this guy to be shyster before he became President.  There was once upon a time people from PA would say Trump is a New Yorker, obnoxius, rip off con man. He is so great at saying what you want to hear which elevates his own power and self gratification.  Did you know he contributed to your favorite first lady (Hillary Clinton's) campaign fund in the past - thats a fact?  He even contributed to Kamala Harris 6 years ago.  Yes he really did!  He has said it himself.

I have been extremely fortunate enough to attend many historic races and tracks multiple times outside of PA such as Eldora, Ventura, Winchester, Belleville (Midget Nationals), Chili Bowl, Terre Haute, Indy, Daytona, IRP, Bloomington, Lawrenceburg to name a few.  I have been even more fortunate to participate in these races and even stand in Victory Lane as part of the team or a friend's team during their absolute most biggest races (not as driver) there are in the US / World.

Now with growing kids and their sports I can't go as much but I sure do look forward to going when I can.  I miss it all, the trip to the track, the smell, sound, food, people, etc.  However, I can wait a little longer if I have to.

I also want my kids to live in a country and be able to look up to their POTUS.  How can I explain his behavior and leadership?  What he says and does is right on video.  I teach my kids about war hero's.  When they see people in military uniform they have learned to say "Thank you for your service".   Trump said "He is not a war hero"  about John McCain.  Then said "I like people who weren't captured".  This is on video. Guy who dodged the draft.  By the way I have been to John McCain's grave and with my kids!   Thats just one example.  We just have to stop looking the other way.

Right now our POTUS was dead right when he said he could stand in the middle of fifth avenue and shoot somebody and he wouldn't lose any voters.  Who say's that, oh wait.  He's gotcha good!

You are right.....some of the governors of this country are not leaders at all,  some will not even talk to their house and senate leaders.  That is very poor leadership....I agree.  That has nothing to do with Trump.  That is very sad that governors of this land would rather talk to someone from another state instead of there own state.    Some of them should be very ashamed of themselves.

Like I said all deaths are very sad.  These are no exceptions. They the democrats want to ruin the ecomomy and that is sad. That is why we are still on lockdown.

I have done a lot of research on this you just want to read and see what agrees with you.  That is not keeping an open mind about this situation.  I have heard people from hospitals and doctors offices question why we are still on lockdown 8 weeks after the fact.  There videos are taken down off the inet right away.  Doctors and scientists from all over the USA  are trying to stop this madness but if you don't fall in line with the WHO or CDC you will be silenced.   Doctors are the ones actually treating the patients.  The WHO and CDC don't have a clue most of them havn't seen a patient in years.  Fauci is a joke with a capital J.  He should have be FIRED a long time ago.

Lets go racing and have fun.  I hope Port Royal, Selinsgrove, and Williamsgrove all gang up on our governor.  I guess Nascar is alowed to race in PA.....just not sprint cars.  What an IDIOT governor Wolf is and he proves it everyday with his lack of leadership.

Tell me this isn't prejudice against average everyday people. Snyder county selinsgrove Yellow for 2 weeks  and forced not to race by king wolf. Today the king says Monroe county (still red today) is ok for Nascar to race at Pocono. Only difference 3 working men run selinsgrove not big pockets Nascar tv sponsor corporate shitty racing.

Yesterday a reporter from ABC27 posed the question to the governor why is Nascar allowed to race in yellow but under a previously ruling, race tracks were considered entertainment and not allowed to race in a county designated yellow. That is clearly a reference to the ruling about Selinsgrove. The governor's office release a statement yesterday saying the DOH is working with professional sports leagues to determine how and when professional sports may resume. They went on to say the state is still having ongoing discussions with professional and semiprofessional teams and industries including Nascar. When I read this, my first thought was the governor's office did not put dirt track racing in the professional or semiprofessional category. It isn't "important" or "professional" enough to operate in yellow unlike these other organizations. Maybe I'm wrong but it's how I took it. I believe someone needs to educate our good governor of the economic impact dirt racing has in our Commonwealth and how many people derive their income either fully or in part from racing. I bet it's far more than he would ever imagine. It's not simply about the tracks it is also about the teams. As I said in a prior post, these teams make money, spend money and pay taxes. They are a business and a much larger one than our governor realizes. No disrespect to any other division, but we aren't talking about hobby divisions. When asked about it in today's briefing, in typical politician fashion he talked for about a minute without actually saying anything substantive.  I believe a knee jerk decision was made about an industry he knows very little about.

People are still dying

We will never open up if we wait for people to stop dying.  We are all dying each day....I hate to break it to you.  Not every death is covid19.  People were dying everyday before covid19 and will continue to die after covid19.

Having said all that.....LIFE is very important.  What the lame stream media is not reporting on is the suicides that are happening all over the USA or the recovery rate of this virus.  Some places the suicides are a lot more than the covid19 deaths.

Lets RACE....tell the governor if Pocono can race so can sprint cars!

As with all Dems, it's about big money.  You can bet your bottom dollar that the pressure is on from big corporations that are a part of Nascar.  Grease the ol' palms and you can race.  Alot of money goes into Nascar and he's feeling some pressure from somewhere.

Best leader we have had since Ronald Reagan.

The other presidents in between didn't have a backbone.

Career politians all need to be replaced by newer models with common sense.  Since all career politians are not using common sense.

Your use of the words two "open mind" actually got me laughing.   You are so typical of the narrow minded on both sides of the spectrum.  One side, everything is Trump's fault and on other side, nothing is his fault.

I think Selinsgrove and other tracks should be reopened in Pa and elsewhere.  The drivers, crews, fans, ticket takers, concession workers, medics all can choose to go to the races or not.
