He doesn't get the benefit of the doubt when he wads it up every other race. When he can run a 15 race stretch without sticking his car owner with a huge bill, then you can talk. Peck had him cleared and Haud refuses to lift. That is what gets him in trouble nearly every night. Just like his Dad, you can't afford to keep him in the car.

Another hater.....brings up Jac, also. BTW were you around years back when your hero was tearing up more cars than most Daddys/Team Owners could afford? As far as Jac is concerned, he had some pretty damn good years in the sprint car division, primarily in the Jack Elden's #22 Pennzoil car. Tied for tenth on the all time WoO tour with 72 wins, and 30 wins on the All Star circuit. Can't be a whole hell of a lot of crashes with those stats. As for the most recent incident with Sheldon. Many of us see it differently, for various reasons, I suppose. But I find it hard to believe that Sheldon could race Gravel as hard as he did, for as many laps as he did, swapping positions, and the run over a guy the very first time the guy (Peck) puts a slider on him. Benefit of doubt? Peck didn't carry enough momentum, and Sheldon had no time or space to avoid him. I think there is enough video to establish that (as I see it). The 3-4 feet that appears to exist between them during the slide, is gone in the blink of an eye. Left rear and right front make contact.....racing incident? Evidently, because it happened.

All by himself he cant help it but he is so good though...

he is a allstar period and will bankrupt a woo team

That's what I enjoy about being a fan.  I just have to kick back and enjoy the races.  I don't have to replace equipment or make driver choices.  Why do you even give a damn about it?  Chill out, have a beer and enjoy the races.  If you banged your head against a tree and it hurt do you have enough sense to stop?  If racing bothers you just stop going.  Problem solved.  wink

"huge bill".... AHAHAHA. The car owner spends more in diesel fuel to get from track to track than the ocassional front end Sheldon tears up.

Sheldon's earned 2nd most in winnings among all WoO teams. But seriously... other than tearing up a front end here and there what major damage has he done in 2018? Its not like hes completely junking cars on a routine basis. I'm 99% sure Stenhouse and the Marshalls are completely happy with Sheldon's results so far in his SECOND YEAR on the WoO tour.

Blazer, we agree to disagree and we will go forward knowing that name calling isn't the answer, lol.  I read your posts and respect your views, this was a close deal for a couple of young-ins with very good futures (I hope).  I've said this often in other posts in this forum over the years but Brad Dotly once told me that he crashed more cars learning his 'trade' than anyone else on the planet, so it does happen and you can learn from this as Brad proved....

Agreed! Smile    It was too close to call with an absolute right or wrong, who's to blame. Truth is, I jumped in to this chapter/saga simply because the haters were again pointing a finger at just one driver, which I didn't think was totally fair. I'm with you on Sheldon's future. When he develops a little patience to go along with his driving skill, he'll really be one to reckon with (not wrecken with Smile). Schatz, Wolfgang, Kinser and a slew of others did the same exact things when they were young drivers. I forget which one it was.....the promoter at Jackson or Knoxville that once told Wolfgang "You're going to be great some day....if you don't kill yourself first". I got that not long ago from a long time vendor who overheard the conversation years ago, so it's second hand. He worked closely with the tracks and the drivers way back when, and he is still active today.

Sheldon is 24. Jac is 60. 125 posts on this thread in two months will equal roughly 27,000 posts, 864 pages and 3.25M views by the time Sheldon decides to hang it up, and Jac is still going strong.

That would be impressive. I admit I was one of the many who underestimated Gravel last year. I knew he would improve, but had no idea how fast or how much...

I think Schuchart will continue to improve also

So does this make Gravel the new Sammy???? wink

I don't believe gravel will have as many wins as last year for a long time. I predicted at the end of last year he would fall off a little bit. We'll see....

OK, I'll stick my neck out on this one and predict that Sheldon is this year's Gravel.   I'm saying 15+

Looks like you were right 15+

I do believe in Stenhousees interview at knoxville he is a big Sheldon fan and loves his on the gas ways and does not want him to change the way he races......

Sheldon will be a champion soon if he continues to improve as much as he has the last 2 years.

Haud has more wins, more top 5s and more top 10s than Donny but is 64 points behind Donny.  Just shows how important 1 spot is over the entire season. 2nd is so much better than 3rd and that would be more than enough to be a few points ahead of Donny.

Great points race. Dont really enjoy seeing Sweet at the top but also great to see the last races matter.

And I don't enjoy your stupid comments, but the hell keep talking and asking Canadian!! Sorry had to do it and will with it......time for cocktail!

Where's my beer or scotch on the rocks? God-damn it! 40
plus years of dirt track racing in these old veins might
get me condemned by the EPA.

You're not the 1st HH to attempt to get under my skin,  and I'm sure you won't be the last to fail.

Sorry I got under yours without trying.
