i stand by my statement that if a posse team would travel for A WHOLE YEAR,they would do extremely well especially dewease.for you to say definitely they wouldn't is simply ridiculous.do you have a crystal ball or some cosmic information source unavailable to the rest of us mere mortals? the fact of the matter is your opinion is just that, your opinion and carries no more weight then many other peoples on here, many of whom are just as knowledgable as you and many more so despite what your over inflated ego causes you to believe.and here is my opinion that i know for a fact i am not wrong about: hockey is about the dumbest sport on earth,i mean what respectable sport encourages fisticuffs and doesn't get you kicked out of the game? fire away!!!

It's simple, I see what the record is when racing the Outlaws and then base my opinion on that. Lance has raced the Outlaws at a whole bunch of tracks and has beat them at the Grove only, right? It depends on what you consider 'extremely well' also, weren't they your words? The tour is a grind and ANY win is a big one and there might be some for the Posse but not nearly as many as you imply. What did Greg have in years on the tour, a handful or so? It's math and we are both entitled to our opinions. I've been lucky enough to see over 500 Outlaw features over the years and that experience allows me to give an opinion, whether you accept/reject it is your decision. Lance and Fred are headed to the Hall of Fame someday, I have no doubt in that but beating the Outlaws on a regular basis is much tougher than you think. Take It Easy....

I don't care much about hockey anymore and one of the reasons IS the lack of fisticuffs, lol. If you don't know anything about the sport we can't argue, can we? That's what happens in here, far too often, yet they still argue, sheesh. Take It Easy....

Good point without an attack Mike, nicely put. PA has ALWAYS been the toughest place in the country to compete in for the Outlaws, heck they made the 410 rule specifically coz' of that area. I've never denied that nor have I ever said that they have the most passionate fans in the country either. Heck, there's as many Kinser fans there as any other track outside of IN I've ever been to. People get way too emotional over this whole silliness and take to personal attacks and worse, none of them must ever go to any sporting events, dang! What was once a fun thing in chat rooms has really risen to heights it was never meant to be, nobody would be more happy than me to let it all go.

It would appear we might see our first Posse winner of the year tonite at East Bay, won't bother me a bit but it might cause rioting in this forum, lol. A few more people need to learn how to type with tongue in cheek and a silly grin, this place would be fun like it was ten years ago. Take It Easy....

PS Come on Texan, win a 410 race down there and we can start all over.....

Mike, if you deliberately push peoples buttons or put out the "bait", just for a laugh or to get a response, don't act like you're shocked when people take it personal.

C'mon guys ... can't you see the light?

I feel so much better now that I have been showed the true meaning of sprint car racing by one of the greatest open-wheel prophets of our time ... the almighty Nelligan.

We all get caught up in this belief that beating the Outlaws more than 20% of the time actually means something. Well, it doesn't ... it is all just part of a vast Right Wing conspiracy.

The Outlaws at The Grove ... they are letting us win ... so we don't feel like we have to travel to land far away and look like the worthless sprint car drivers that we really are.

The tracks ... they schedule all those races and pay high purses in Central PA just to save us from looking like fools out on the road.

The owners ... and all that money they spend just to keep us here. They parade us around to all the differant tracks so we can entertain our just as worthless fans.

That sprint car poll ... they always put a couple of our drivers near the top just to make us feel "Special".

As the wise men (Wayne & Garth) once said ...

"We're not worthy ... we're scum ... we suck."

peace out

Since when was 'bait' personal, havin' some fun without being personal is all it ever is, then guys go on attack mode. Three words and a hundred posts later, what a joke.

Migetbrain, you don't get it, you're over reacting in a large way. Why don't you come clean with a real name and I'm sure it will make a lot more sense. Let it go, your attempt at humor is pathetic. You are the exact guy that gives the Posse fan the negative name.

By the way Hawk, you're getting a lot of props for that photo, where did you take it at? Take It Easy.....

Wolfgang, Brooks, Corbin, Dollansky, Green, Richert Jr. Lasoski, Hererra, all former Knoxville regulars, thanks for the memmories. Stevie had a great W of O career, thank God he was smart enough to leave the porch and share his talents for the country to see. Sadly though, he is about the only one from your area to ever achieve such, hmmmmm. Having said that, the G-Man was well on his way though.

Midget, stop embarassing yourself, BRR has the title from your area and he proves it on a regular basis he won't be handing it over anytime soon. The only thing you got right and not out of context was the fool part, I'd let it go at that and consider yourself a success now, okay?

Are we through here yet, lol? Take It Easy.....

Mike, you are using a double-standard in your argument. You always claim that Hodnett isn't Posse, even though he has been a Pennsylvania regular for much of the past decade. Yet you claim Johnny Herrera as a Knoxville regular off of two years racng for Forbrook in the mid-1990s.

I also disagree with you about how big the King's Royal is anymore. Twenty years ago, when no one else was paying $50,000 to win, it was huge. But Knoxville now pays three times that much and the Grove and the Gold Cup also paid $50K last year. I will agree with you that anyone from PA who went to the King's Royal probably would not win unless something screwy happens and the purse is so top heavy that it really is not worth traveling that far for such a top-heavy purse.

Fifty grand to win and $1,000 to start in 1987 looked a lot better than $50,000 to win and $1,500 to start in 2006. Having been to Eldora for the King's Royal, the Four-Crowns, the Dream and the World 100 at one time or another, there really is no comparison crowd-wise between the Royal and the sheer number of people the place draws for the World 100.

The race I am looking forward to most this year is the $30,000 to win at Port Royal. No sanction -- let whoever wants to show up do so.

I USED to claim Greg wasn't Posse, when he LIVED in Memphis while driving a Posse car, BIG difference. When he won those two shows in Charlotte and less than an hour away in Tunica, MS.he was not living in Posseland, that has changed with his marriage etc. Greg learned his trade on the road and deep in my heart/head he will always be an Outlaw, I hope he has a great year, he's capable.

Those guys I mentioned were driving at Knoxville on a weekly basis, not that it really matters, Johnny is the closest thing to an exemption there but I think he only won one time anyway.

It ain't about the money at the Kings Royal, it is the EVENT. It draws the second biggest crowds of the year and just like the World 100 is the IT race of the year for Late Models it's the 2nd best for Sprints. We have to respect history somewhat, wouldn't you agree?

If you wanted to address something in my statement then I wish it would have been why PA hasn't produced any consistant winnrs on the road since Stevie. But let's forget that, this thread will never end as I debunk every excuse you can come up with, lol. That's almost 20 years, a very long time. Take It Easy.....

PS Hey hardrive, how's things around Lernerville....

Double-Standard pretty much sums it up.

Saying Hodnett wasn't Posse when he drove a Posse car and was at every Posse race for years is a complete joke. I doesn't matter where you live, it's where you race. You always let your HEART get in the way of COMMON SENSE and FACTS.

So if you work for a company and have a long commute, does that mean you don't really work there? I think Curt Schilling still lives in Philly ... does that means he's not really on the Red Sox and never played in Arizona?

The Kings Royal might still be a big race for fans, but the car count say it's not a big race as far as drawing cars. Last years race was basically triple sanctioned WoO/All-Stars/NST and it drew less cars (52/56) than the National Open (63/58). The 2002 Kings Royal drew a wopping 37 cars on Saturday night ... this is a FANS race ... not a racers race.

Greg was a hired gun much like Wolfie was in his years in PA. He is now Posse because as a resident he fits MY criteria, which is what counts when I make the statement.

When Steve Kinser can't make the A-Main which is what happened the night before last year's Kings Royal I think it means there is a pretty good group of cars there. It was not sanctioned by the NST either, get a clue. The car count at that race means little, it is an EVENT, always was and always will be. The National Open has 30 Posse cars with zero chance of winning and a half dozen that might win, car count is never important, car quality is.

How ironic for a Posse cheerleader to talk about heart vs. common sense and facts, you just don't get it, do you. Herein lies the biggest problem for you guys, just accept the facts for what they are, deal with it and let it go, it's time to move on. Cheer for your boys the next ten days or so, they are competiting with the toughest group of cars next to this years Nationals. When you win one at Volusia against that field you have done something, it just might happen for one of your guys, making the A at Volusia is a big deal, just wait and see. Take It Easy....

PS When was the last time that Steve K. did not race his way into the A-Main without having a crash or motor issues, I would love to know the answer to this, Eckert can you hear me....

I said it was "BASICALLY" sanctioned by 3 groups, not WAS ... were most of the NST guys not there???

So if a driver is a hired gun on the WoO tour are they not an Outlaw? Anybody on the face of the earth can set up a "MY CRITERIA" for any given situation to fit their needs. You are the ultimate is setting a double standard ... it's amazing.

Not making the show at Eldora doesn't say much when that track will probably go down as having one of the worst EVENTS ever when tires were exploding one after another during the INFAMOUS HBO a few years ago. What a great EVENT that was ... really makes me want to go race at that track. Eldora is what it is ... a fans track.

We do accept what we are ... you are the one who keep ctying about the fact that, according to your criteria, the Posse doesn't travel as much as you think they should. Get over it ...

Mike, I am equally sorry if I have offended you as well. It's the guys like midgetbrain that I talk to but waste my time. You are as neutral a racefan with Posse roots as anyone. What you did when you went from working the infield at a track to a shooter was nothing short of remarkable. You were the FIRST digital shooter that made it work and you brought your game to the highest of levels. I understand I say things that agitate my Posse friends but that's just typing in here and not the real life sentiments that my friends there know me for. Passionate Posse fans are the best of our sport and passionate dumb Posse fans are the worst, I shouldn't bother but I am always hoping they will figure it out. Anything offensive I say is generally aimed at them and not the great racers/fans that exist in Central PA. To think this came from three words, lol. Thicker skin would remedy much of this and with the way I think it's gonna be this year I hope some can grow it pretty soon, myself included, lol. Take It Easy....

Midget, no response needed, why aren't in school anyway???

LOL, now the head cheerleader speaks and as per usual Makes No Sense.

'Nice Posse representation' is real venom, let it go, put down the pipe or whatever makes you type these things Mark, you've lost the plot. You made so much more sense years ago when you just a Sammy fan and the Posse was never in your conversations, what went wrong, lol? Take It Easy....

as though anyone would bother following your flip flopping nonsense...

over 2170 view of this thread...and the usual suspects have not weighed in to bail you out!

can we look at the tally?

1 post with the antagonist "bock bock bock"

23 follow up posts of lashing out, digging deeper, launching personal attacks on others, juvenile screen name intereptations...followed by cherry picking apologies and sheepish back pedaling.

for a stat minded posse basher, that might mean 1 win / 23 losses.

not a bad stat for a professional who is "still on his game"!

this is way too easy...
