The World of Outlaws announced that they are sanctioning all of the recently announced $100k events.  The Jackson Nationals will be paying $100k to win as well.  That is how these rebellions were squashed in years past.  If there are to be any serious challenges to the Outlaws those big events including the Nationals would have to change sanctioning.  Without the biggest events in the sport no other series will overtake the Outlaws.

I remember the pre 1978 free for all that Sprint Car racing used to be.  Tracks as of 1978 could get a guarantee of drivers following the series and advertise that in their promotional materials.  Those things might not mean much to fans demanding change at any cost but they are important to the tracks booking their 2024 schedules.

Outlaws would have to change their entire West coast tour.

If they have it.

More big dollar races should be good for the sport. Assuming High Limit stays on weekdays and the All-Stars mainly on weekends does it matter what the WoO does unless they are close together to temp drivers/teams/car owners to do a different series if they will have them? If there are openings on either tour it might give the filed fillers and locals a better chance to join them?

At least you didn't try to say it was a fact.

Bayston - longest tenure in seat of the CJB 5 ? Gravel could make it go but left. Others have tried. Fred looked washed up in it then left, won a lot the next year and retired

Paul McMahan drove the 5 longer than Bayston. Drove it right after Fred was fired. It was still the number 51.
