If you "don't get it", it's because you haven't been paying attention....Brennan stated in a press release that the changes he plans to make will make Badlands "even better than Knoxville".......that he will "crush anything they've ever done"......and that there will be a four day event with a $200,000.00 purse, and Brennan calls that amount "unprecedented in the racing industry for an event of that length". I think what you don't get might be this....if you are going to put together a racing event that pays $50,000 to win, and you want to draw a crowd and a decent field of cars.....you better make sure that that from 7th on back you aren't paying chicken feed, 5th and 6th are paying a "hot dog and a hand shake" when you consider what other major sprint car events and even some weekly shows pay.
|
He never said "even better than Knoxville"
He never said "crush anything they've ever done" in regards to Knoxville. Go back and watch the entire press conference. He says he will "crush anything they've ever done" in regards to what Huset's has done in the past.
It's actually a "$250,000" purse, not $200,000 as you posted.
He never said "unprecedented in the racing industry for an event of that length"
You look foolish when you post things like this. None of it is correct.

Okay. Here we go.
jackson motorplex is starting hot laps at 8 pm With time trials to follow. So heat races will start at 8:45-9:00...Jackson doesnt ever run a quick program, never have. So races get done at 12:00 at earliest.. by the time a race team gets loaded up and on the road it's gonna b 1 am And after burning off 5 tires. So is a race team gonna drive 4.5 hours to knoxville and get there at between 5-6 am then sleep and service the car to race for $5k or 3k depending on if itd sanctioned, or would a raceteam rather drive 1hr:15mins and get to Badlands in Brandon,SD around 3am; and get a good nights rest and race for $5k to win A main and not to mention $1K for quick time, $500 for 2nd, $300 for 3rd, $200 for 4th and $100 for 5th, and $1.50 per mile tow money on top of that (max $400); and only burn off 2 tires.
Blazer00 quit making shit up, you are talking out of your ass with no facts...pump the brakes!
Brennan did not buy Tmac a house, and he isnt being flown around on Brennans private jet...
Because of Badlands, NSL had to raise their purse at their races. All this is good because it's gonna bring and make more teams come to the Midwest , you can race 2 tracks for 2 nights and race for 5 grand to win each night..and if they have a 360 they can race for $2500 on Sunday..If it wasn't for Badlands It would be $3k at Knoxville and $2500 at husets and $700 for 360s...race teams are gonna make more money.
Don't forget if Badlands rains out on Saturday night, they are racing 410s on Sunday night..so maybe some Knoxville cars will get off their porch and make a trip to Badlands MotorSpeedway.
Badlands isnt gonna tell their race teams "if you don't want to show up, don't show up because i don't need you"...Like some other race series promoter and owner said.
All tracks, race teams and fans and Series are gonna gain from this, this is good for 410 sprint car racing, And 360 racing in South Dakota...
So big deal if Tmac races Badlands? Tmac is also gonna race where ever there is a good paying race.. Haters gonna hate.. Champions gonna win...
Greed has been crowned the new king.

You are correct. I hope it all works out, but he's blowing smoke. Gold Cup is 4 days of racing with a purse of about $200,000. Nationals is 4 days of racing and the A Feature Saturday night pays $563,500. "Unprecedented" maybe he should take some of his money and buy a dictionary

Hey Justin, The first time the Friday night show at Jackson runs past midnight without any weather issues I will personally buy your pit pass for the next race.

Zing... I have a hard time seeing Jackson run past midnight, with 3 classes of sprints and no fender cars. Midnight is a bit of a stretch there sunshine.

There will be changes implemented at Jackson in 2016 to ensure the program runs more efficiently. Hope to see everyone there starting May 13th for Folkens Brothers Spring Nationals.
