Actually, it HAS been done before: Sammy Swindell won the driver championship in 1997 while Karl Kinser was the owner champion. Mark Kinser drove Karl's car the majority of the time, but did some truck racing as well that year. Karl put Kelly Kinser in the car when Mark wasn't available. (Kelly won his only career World of Outlaws race in Karl's car that year.)

Athough it has never really been done before, I guess the owner can still win the championship with a fill in driver. Who is on the market that would be willing and able to be sucessful as a part time driver for the team?
|
Depending on the tracks that he misses, maybe Keading and Shaffer. Heck Jason Meyers filled in when Jason Johnson broke his back along with Swindell. Long shot but maybe Gio for a race or two or maybe one of the PA boys if he misses a Central PA race.

For those bashing this thread about "Silly season," this topic has been posted every single off season since this forums inception since 1998. It is a small part in what makes Allan's site so popular the past 21 years.

Anyone heard any chirps about the CJB ride? Any idea when an announcement could be made?

CJB seems to go through alot of drivers. Some may question why including any driver thinking about taking the ride. Just saying.

I'm thinking Madsen is hoping no one else gets that ride because if they do he is going to be shit out of luck.

Kerry would be one of the top free agents if that were to happen. No way he would be "SOL".

Around 50 WoO races, 20ish ASCoC races, and 10-15 misc shows around Central PA.

It also like the collabration between the #2 and #5 teams did not work out as well with this announcement. Barry Jackson will be Marks crew chief for 2020. Wonder where this leaves Kerry Madsen going forward?

Wasn’t there supposed to be 2 teams, one full time woo and one “true Outlaw“ schedule? Maybe that fell through.
