Winner,Winner Chicken dinner !  People who live in glass house shouldn't throw stones. Maxim must supersize that cockpit for his ego to fit.......

That's funny. I made the exact same joke about Maxim to a buddy of mine. He may be having fun now, but I think it's pretty safe to say that his driving career will be longer than Gary Kauffman's career as an owner and I wonder how his antics will affect him down the road. He grew up around the sport and is as knowledgeable as anyone in all phases so you'd think he'd understand that your competitor today could be your boss tomorrow. Maybe even the guy to give you a ride late in your career when a lot of other people think you're washed up. The dream team is a perfect example. If Lance had said shit about Kreitz years ago like Dietrich does to people now, would Donald have put Lance in his car? Probably not and Lance would've missed out on perhaps that most memorable years of his career. It's not wise to burn bridges. Especially when you're 28 and you have your whole career ahead of you. So many times when a driver hangs up his helmet, he'll continue to be involved as an owner. Esh/Coldren, Kreitz/Dewease, Rahmer/Stevie and the list goes on and on. I hope he gets his shit together and just lets his right foot do the talking because his talent is more than capable of speaking for itself.

The kid is indeed one hell of a driver.  It's also nice seeing someone who isn't 150 pounds soaking wet running at the front of the pack.  I'm not a big social media fan as I've seen too many people's careers go down the shitter because of failure to control their fingers while on the keyboard.  That being said, I must admit that I find his "twitter chatter" somewhat entertaining at times.  Maybe it's just because I'm an old fart and wish I had 1/10th of the energy and piss and vinegar left in me that some of these young ones have.  I totally agree with what you said though; "be careful whose toes you step on today as they may very well be connected to the ass that you have to kiss tomorrow".

He made some comments pertaining to the 21 team not leaving the porch as if its any of his damn business. Then as usual the next day he played the same old "I'm so misunderstood. I was just stirring the pot" card that he always plays when he has a few drinks and says a bunch of stupid shit. He's a hell of a driver. He's got incredible talent and some would argue that when it comes to sheer driving ability, he is the best pure driver in Central PA but his attitude leaves a lot to be desired. I wish he'd grow the hell up and quit making a fool of himself because I truly enjoy watching him race. He always puts on a show.

I didn't realize Danny D was such a polarizing figure. I keep up with the PA Posse stuff out here in AZ....Don't really get to hear much about what the drivers are like in person.. I've seen Rahmer's boy interviewed a few times...I automatically liked him.

The Rahmer boys are the exact opposite. You couldn't ask to meet 2 nicer young men. Fred has done a hell of a job bringing them up. He showed them the right way and has made them conduct themselves as professionals. If they got on Twitter and did what Dietrich does, my guess is Fred would probably park them after he pried his foot from their asses. When they were raw rookies, Fred made them start in the rear of everything because he wanted them to learn to pass cars, not start up front and go backwards. Freddie is quite possibly in the midst of a breakout season. He's fast and he's consistent. He can pedal it through the slick or he can hammer it against the curb. For his age, he's extremely versatile. He's still young but the sky is the limit. Brandon is pretty good for his age as well and is continuing to get better with time. They're both going to win a ton of races over the coming years.

I'm with you on all of the above. I actually like the guys who are a bit scrappy. Hewitt, Kinser, Rahmer etc. are my kinda guys. I'm not at all a fan of political correctness. In fact, I hate it. DD goes way over the line way too many times though.

"be careful whose toes you step on today as they may very well be connected to the ass that you have to kiss tomorrow". - now that's good!

No offense meant, but me thinks the Rahmer boys likely got their demeanor from their mother. While Fred may not talk smack, I've witnessed him telling it like it is more than once - like taking a brisk walk down pit road and telling (can't remember) car owner quite vividly that 'he doesn't have enough money to keep (a very young) Sheldon Haudenschild in cars/equipment' - apparently after some on-track incident.

I'm not on social media. Regardless, I'm going to judge DD and others, like...... dare I mention........wait for it...............Tyler Walker, by their actions on the track and not on Twitter (or, in TDub's case- jail) cuz, frankly, the track part is the only part I'm really interested in.

And, now that I brought-up T Dub, I'm not condoning what he does off the track - or from pit road. I just think it's good to have non-cookie cutter personalities in a sport that has 'too many toes connected to the ass that you have to kiss tomorrow'.

Be careful what you hear about what someones does/says on social media vs in person.  Seems like DD likes to stir things up on Twitter, but in person, in the pits with fans (especially kids) my experience is he couldn't be nicer.  Sometimes the lines between social media and in-person can be blurred (and this is wholy DD actions), hence the polarizing part.  People sometimes take social media stuff he says as gospel...which they're allowed to do and which he is responsible for, but again nice as pie in person, especially with kids.  Dude loves sprint car racing.

fiXXXer more like PGer... What he is saying isnt that serious. Take a breath and just laugh. Its entertainment watching these beasts go around the track and should be off the track too.

Fred, will tell you on the spot if something needs to be addressed, and, he won't beat around the bush about it. The guy has had a great career driving sprint cars. Undoubtably, one of the best to ever strap in. He's driven for some of the best car owners out there. He had more than one oppourtunity to go on the road and always stayed loyal to central pa. Why ? MONEY. Beside himself he made car owners very happy at the pay window. His family is going to carry on that legacy. The boys are a pleasure to watch and Fred i think is enjoying more than anybody.
