I will go out on a limb here and say we have another first time winner. I will also goes as far to say that Steve and Sammy won't make the show. If they do it will be through the B. I will pick Saldana to win it over Sides and the surprise of the week Lasoski. Boy am I going to catch some $#it for this one.
|
Won't catch any $#it from me .... it is what the writer thinks (like bungholes ...these are opinions, and everyone's got one) ... and I would not call it an upset if Saldana would win it .... he is over due for something good to happen here. And Sides isn't far behind in the possibility to win it also.
It will all come down to the luck of the draw (t.t.'s) ..the strength/weakness of their heat race possible flat tires and just plain bad luck or good luck.
But the cream (talent) will rise to the top no matter who the eventual champion is ... you make your luck much of the time and that driver will have earned every $$$$ of the winners check.

My pick for the Nationals: Jason Meyers
Knoxville locals making the A: Mark Dobmier, Brian Brown, Terry McCarl, Dusty Zomer, Danny Lasoski, and Lynton Jeffery
Surprise: Local Dustin Selvage makes the A
Disapointment: No Porkchopp!! (just kidding) There's really never a disapointment at the Nationals.

I'm really thinking that this is Mark Kinser's year to shine. Karl has been working extra hard back at the shop getting things ready.

Pittman would be as popular a winner as Shaffer was last year ... that would be great ... talked to him a time or two and he is very personable. And he has been on a bit of a roll ..... never know ... but I think he is certainly not that much of a long shot.

Do you think Sammys motor is that much better than most?? Or do you think it is mostly driver?? Hear alot about Parker engines lately. Alot of winners seem to be running them.....

It's his shock package.
Someone here said Lasoski is their surprise? He's running weekly there and is the all-time wins leader, he's going to there to win and anything else for him will be a disappointment. If he time trials well, I think he'll finish top 5. If he doesn't he'll have to hard charge through the B like he has had to do in recent years.
I just don't know about Pittman, it will be the 27 team first trip out there ever. And while DP always sets up and works on his car, he will be relied on much more than normal for setups and tire decisions. They are planning on going out early for a tuneup at 360 Nationals though. I would love to Pittman win it, but I see him being the only car from PA in the feature finishing around 8th-10th.

Dollansky wins it. Been running great all year. I think Lucas Wolfe will be a big suprise this year gut feeling. I think Shaffer will be a disappointment

Schatz had a slow start this year but is rising to the top -- he likes Knoxville. Sammy has an axe to grind and I'd hate to be the ax on that grinder. I predict Sammy and Donny battling for the win.
