Bobby Allen I'm sure also knows that they weigh every car after time trials at Knoxville, they weigh the top 4 cars out of every heat race, all of the cars that transfer from the C and B mains and the top 4 of the A main.

It would be completely asinine to send your car out to run the B feature intentionally light when you're starting on the front row and hoping to transfer to the A main.

But then again "asinine" is probably your middle name.

It was a mistake by a young driver, even old experienced drivers make mistakes once in a while.

There is a 4 minute "documentary" on Youtube called "Knoxville Nationals: Logan Schuchart Fast Time to DQ - August 8, 2018".   At the end, Logan explains what happened.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLRsGJEt-L0

What Happened:

On the radio after the B-Main they just told them to start getting ready for the A-Main.    They never told the top 4 or any individual racers to report to the scales.     Oh... and he was excited that he passed Donny.    He said Outlaws don't weigh after the B-main but acknowledged that it was still his fault because it was mentioned at the drivers meeting.    The video shows him pulling into his pit stall after the B-Main and it looked like nobody on his team realized he needed to get weighed because they immediately started working on the car.

I hope he has the fastest car on the track tonight too.

Hmmm, do Outlaws and Knoxville normally call out drivers to scale over the radio after being on the track? I think it’s kind of shitty on Knoxville’s part to not say anything on the radio especially if that is not a common practice. Feel free to point out that isn’t the case but I can’t think of too many higher level sprints that do. Given the enviroment would it really kill an official to say “End of race, cars x, y and z report to the scales”?

It was mentioned at the drivers meeting.  Now the biggest race of the year, you would think people would pay attention.  Maybe even write stuff down that isnt the norm.  Its no ones fault but Logans and the 1s team.  Hope he rebounds tonight.

Why the hell are so many people trying to pass the buck. This is the Knoxville Nationals....Not the World of Outlaws.....as much as they want to lay claim to sanctioning....the WoO is there for the ride and that's about it.

Would have thought Logan until he forgot the scales Wednesday. Based on the lineup for Saturday Jacob would be a longshot. Of course an outlaw on the pole

What's the issue with an Outlaw on the pole? Or maybe I'm reading too much into your comment.

Dana said she finally got Bobby to go to hospital and he will be there thru sunday, with a twisted bowel.  They think it will heal without surgery

LOL Saw on twitter people calling this a bs move by Knoxville.  It sucks for the whole team, and Im sure Logan is heartbroken, but rules are rules.  If Schatz missed the scales and got dq'd, people would be throwing a party

Nope, I'd like to see Schatz get beaten fair & square on the track

Yes, we all know "rules are rules".... but do you want police pulling you over for 2 mph over speed limit?

What would be the harm to pull him onto scales if crew hadn't changed anything on the car?

Seen drivers dq'd in ascs races for passing the scales.  If its a rule and was talked about before the races and everyone else stopped at the scales(all who were requested to that is).  Dont see the issue.  He passed the scales and went to his pit.  Now he'll just have to pass some cars on saturday..which he will do!

Story book ending to get in show the hard way.Got 5 more good ones in the show and just 4 more slots and at least 8 guys that are deserving. The Knoxville format allows the best to have at least two chances plus Bmain, and Challence especially if draw night favors early TT qualifiers.Cappy once told me that by keeping it from being WOO sanctioned they can afford to pay the drivers what they deserve instead of the sanctioning body and set their own rules that he thought we more fair and not favoring the Outlaws as much A couple that will need  help to make the A are Sam,Jac,and Sheldon.Wishing Booby a speedy recovery and it would be hard to keep him in hospital with two drivers in the A

Of course they all have a shot, but you said " as good a shot at winning as anyone else."

Do you think Robert Bell has a good a chance as Schatz? I don't

Anyone, meaning teams that are actually competitive?

I obviously chose an extreme example

How about, do you think Jason Sides has as good a shot as Schtaz?
