It's actually not the track owners it's the guy that leases the track there BRR. The track owner could probably care less until he don't get his money.

Geez some people act like the payout through the field is peanuts but actually it's pretty damn good. Sure it's top heavy and so is every other sprint car race on the planet. 20G for 2nd/ 2G to start. Take away the the 100G to win and it's still a better purse than 90% of the "big" sprint car races throughout the country.

This is the list I've gotten compiled so far. This is NOT a complete list. But got the top Knoxville locals (Brown/Madsen/Tmac), some of top Central PA teams (Zearfoss/Dewease/Dietrich/Smith), California talent (Macedo/Eliason/Rico/Netto) and the top Ohio drivers including Jac Haudenschild, Dale Blaney, Rob Chaney, Cole Duncan, Caleb Helms, Brad Haudenschild, DJ Foos among many other talented drivers.

Unless I missed them I don't see the 3 that are locked in from last year.

Armstrong and Kekich have registered. I've not seen anything on Jimmy Seger but after last year PA ya'll can keep him over there. Snail crawling restarts got old really quick.
EDIT: 1039 EST Also, please note that all these posted are extremely preliminary and I've not been deep diving drivers' social media accounts or anything. It's pretty much a rehash of what Mansfield has teased out and what I've happened to see drivers/teams post.

That's disappointing. No doubt Greg would've had a good shot at winning. This is the kind of race that sprint car drivers are always bitching about wanting to see more of yet in a lot of cases, they neglect to support them the way they should. Like Fred Rahmer once said after a high paying race that was poorly supported, why the hell would a promoter want to dish out $10,000 to win for 23 cars when the track down the road gets 30 for $3000 to win? I hope this race is a success and that it continues for years to come. Our sport needs as many races like this as we can get. If not for work, I'd be leaving the porch and going because it's by far better than anything that will be going on in posse country that weekend. Hopefully I can make it happen next year.

Hodnett was on the Sprintcar Unlimited podcast in February and said at that time he wasn't sure about going to Mansfield because of the crew help situation. Greg seemed to imply that most race decisions hinge on crew help.
I thought it was also said that Dietrich is not going.
I agree that as many of the teams that can go should. The start money is very good. Also the track and promoter should be thanked and supported for having an unsanctioned big money race. Thank you to the track for putting the sanction fee into the purse instead of lining certain people's pockets.

Exactly what I'm saying... This is going to be one of the best paying races in sprint car history, even with the "top heavy" payout.

It was said that dietrich wasn't going and then that it was back on the schedule. THey did announce him as having registered so I'd expect him to be there now.
There's a local driver who always whined about no big payout races who I guarantee you still won't run this race even though he lives 30 minutes away. Some people say they want something to happen but won't act on it when it does. That's just how it is.
However, with at least close to 70 cars I'm gonna be very happy sitting in the stands the 27th & 28th. The drive in between to go back to dayton for my graduation morning of the 28th will be fun though I'm sure.

Car is black and #3J and his name is Trey Jacobs. Enough hints? lol. I honestly don't know if he's intending on racing this year or not even, but last year he made quite a few comments about no high paying events and then proceeded not to go to the GLDN or the other $5k to win shows even once his motor was fixed. If you're not going to support the events don't complain when someone doesn't have them. I do agree that the weekly payouts could be better, and actually Fremont and Wayne Co both increased their purses this year and I'd say northern Oh has probably the best weekly purses between those 2 tracks and Attica besides Knoxville and Central PA.
I try not to be a keyboard warrior ever but hypocrisy pisses me off.
Also, side note, Jimmy Seger is also registered. All 3 drivers who locked in are officially going to be in attendance.

Talkung about purses. I heard that the gentleman who started Eldora said every year his prize mobey was gonna be vigger than last year even if he had to sell extra gotdogs to make up the difference.
So did the purse always grow from year to year at Eldora during gis ownership? Does it still grow or did Stewart cap it?
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

I thought Tony raised the overall purse of the KR. He also added Thursday night, so the overall weekend money went up.

I believe he added it in the back end of the purse so the start money was better. Most people only look at the to win amount and that's why it sort of appears to have stagnated.

Tony did step up to the plate......increased the payout quite a bit. I believe he increased the positions 2nd on back, also. Didn't second place used to pay $12,000? It now pays $20,000. The A Main now pays $3000 to start.....the B pays $2000 for fifth place and $600 to start. Even added increases to the Friday night show, and of course added Thurday to make the Royal a three day show.
