You must not know that he has a CONTRACT to be racing a Cup car on that weekend, drivers have other duties besides when practice is over to jump on a Jet to go race a Sprint Car and fly back. He can either focus on racing in Cup for the big paychecks or go chase Sprint Car races...the choice is his, too many politics

All I can say is this....and anyone that knows me or reads my posts knows how I feel about Larson...Donny Schatz is waiting. Anyone catch the look on his face at the post race presser on Saturday night? How he wouldn't take a sip of his beer? Or how he didn't even really blink? That man has been waiting and I'm sure it's been on his mind all year. They don't call him Donny Knoxville for nothing. I don't think anyone in the field including Kyle Larson has a chance this year. I expect a beat down all week from the 15.

Kyle has said he's not allowed to race sprint cars on a Nascar Race weekend. If Nats gets rained out and pushed to Sunday night, then hmmm...different story if he could fly in and make it for a Sunday night race. He ran OH Speddwek til Wednesday and will do the same with PA Speedweek. Nascar drivers usually arrive at race locales Thursday for practice, prep, sponsor requirements, tv stuff, etc.
I don't know the answer so this is a serious question. When Tony did it was he already his own Nascar owner (Stewart - Haas)? Could be why he did it. He was car owner/driver so it was his call. This one is Chip Ganassi's call...
But again, none of this has transpired yet so let's all relax for the time being.

Plenty of fans would love to see Kyle race, & obviously would like to see him do the whole thing. Thats good
However NASCAR pays the bills, which supports his dirt team, he has a contract, & is leading NASCAR in points... no brainer on that
The issue is would fans like to see him race or not? I certainly would
I think starting last in the A (IF he makes it, no guarantee), is sufficient "punishment" for his team
