You said it.... With Collateral.

With Collateral, and a good credit score, and a 2 yr work history, and 2 year's tax returns....

You will still have to pay $99 origination fee.

I haven't had to pay an origination fee yet.

People that don't have collateral shouldn't get a loan.

They need to learn how to stop the bleeding before getting a transfusion.   Learn to live within your means and save for the unforeseen.

I  don't think anyone here is "sticking up for something corrupt."      I think some are simply saying that it is understandable for a business owner to shut down his business if he doesn't see it as profitable. Really, what is wrong with someone who owns his own business, Feels that it is not profitable enough for his liking moving forward, and he closes the doors?    Someone also  made the comment about how if Chuck really wanted to help people he would keep his DLC business open.   REALLY?!?

76% of voters voted for the bill.    My guess would be 98% of those 76% have never taken out a payday loan, nor ever needed a payday loan.

I think blazer and ford and shakenbakeless work for the Russians.  Who in turn hacked the voting machines in SD to get this bill passed, so chuck would fold, the track would be sold, and You could have Saturday's again Smile Smile   (All in fun....don't jump all over me. I never once talked negative about Knoxville ever).

Don't blame me or anyone other than your buddy, for the bad taste in your mouth from licking your butt hurt asshole!

I tried to keep it light, and you're still an a-hole.    Larry, the 65 year old car salesman that talks like this.  LOL.   You are a dandy.  Do your bosses know you talk like this to people online?  Especially on company time? Smile

Company time, that's about 80% of the people on here,  including myself sometimes. Anyway back to BMS it appears that it's not even close to being sold and you would think time has to be a concern now, I do see WoO still has them on the schedule,  but you would think that can't last much longer,  to good of a weekend.

Hiding behind a "joke" doesn't go over with me when the "joke" refers to being un-American. Sorry. It's like my making a dispariging joke about a person's spouse or family, and trying to hide behind it "because it's a joke". First off I wouldn't do it, and anyone who does should expect harsh criticism! Just doesn't seem funny to me. He made it personal and is still doing so. No apology on my part!

awe boo-hoo.  Sorry blazer that you couldn't take my joke as a joke.  Cmon get real.  It was a joke about the Russian "hackers" , beings theyre in the news everyday Lately.      I  didn't ask for an apology by the way. Nor did I expect one from you. And nor do I care.  But it's still comical how you talk to people via your keyboard.   I made a joke and you took it personal.  Theres  a difference between "harsh criticism," and resorting to phrases about "licking a$$holes."    So professional on your part.  Again, I wonder how your bosses feel about your professionalism online.

No they didn't force him.  They just said we're going to take 91% of your income away. Operate on .69 cents profit per $100.

The 76% we're just dupped.  They didn't understand that the cap would take away the operating funds.

The fact that Badlands ENT group was funded through DLC is an epic fail.

I do believe that the folding of the pawn shop and the race track are only doing so because they were SO far away of being profitable under the business plan they had in place.

If they had been successful or had any success, doubtful they would be closing.

His vision just didn't fit his customer base.

I do not feel sorry for Chuck or Any of them. They did a piss poor job of making sure the public knew how the loans ACTUALLY worked, rather than the PoS  do-gooder crusader Hildebrand skewed and make sound much worse than it actually is.

Business is for profit. It can be PROFITABLE and HELP at the same time.

Your local church, ECT is Not. They have specific and special benefits on many levels banking, and tax related because they're not for Profit. They CAN HELP without profit.

Short term lendings goal is make some money and help bridge a gap.

Right.

But the fact that he closed the race track because he was denied super profits in his loan business shows that his real concern was fast $$, not fast sprint cars

Not an Earl Baltes by a long shot

Honestly it appears that all of the money he was throwing around in the Sioux Falls area (the pawn shop, the R&R Academy, Huset's, etc) was an attempt to win favor with the public.

Measure 21 was in the works long before he bought Huset's or started construction on the Pawn Shop.

Makes one wonder if all of the money he was throwing everywhere had the opposite effect that he hoped for.   Kind of along the lines that the public saw the money he was "wasting" and figured that the people behind Measure 21 were correct about him taking advantage of poor people.

The guy never was a race fan.   Those of us that pointed out our concerns centering on that fact were told how great he was going to be for racing.   I wish we weren't right.

He did sponsor the 410 class and put up the $10,000 to win money for about 5 years before he bought the place.  Might not automatically make him the worlds biggest race fan, but I don't think it rules out the possibility that he is/was/is a race fan who currently has more at stake than just a race track Right now.

It wasn't 10k to win every Sunday night in those 5 years and he may have been in actual attendance a handfull of times, maybe in those 5 years. Hardly makes him a race fan.

I don't think he ever cared or does care about what the public thinks. His style and his self-promotion was/is over the top. To each their own.

If he would of took a more moderately paced and more financially sound approach to all the establishments he just closed, they may have done better?

I enjoy alot of the same music he seems to appreciate, but his pricing and the whole pushing of the VIP experiences at all venues was not in line with the rest of the midwest's pricing and definately had a WWE feel to it.

As I said many times before, burning cash cause he could and doing everything his way or the highway.

It will always be my opinion that IM21 just gave him a convenient place to put the blame for his own business model failings.

Are there any updates on the attempted sale of Badlands?

One would assume that we are approaching D-day as far as having any racing for the 2017 season, correct?  (whether it be new owners or current ownership starting things back up this spring-if he were bluffing that is)

Official Statement from Badlands Motor Speedway

“There have been a few parties that have been spreading rumors that they have purchased Badlands Motor Speedway. We are confirming that there has been a lot of serious interest in the track and that we have had full pricing offers, but those who have said they are buying it thus far have not been able to close or come up with the money. Please don’t let these posers ruin it for everyone else and keep up the efforts to find great new owners for BMS. We will let everyone know immediately when it actually does sell and we appreciate all of the help spreading the word.”

The ***T is getting deep about full price offers  GM
