Yup!

The flyer for the event would be great:

"COME SEE (MAYBE) SOME OF THE BEST DRIVERS IN THE WORLD (IF THEY MAKE IT)

GUYS LIKE:

Brad Sweet  (Unless there's something big going on in CA and it's not worth the trip)

David Gravel (Unless Tod wants him to run a promo event in SD)

Carson Macedo (Unless he needs a break from the road)

Logan Schuchart  (Unless PA has a big 3 day race event and he has sponsor obligations to those tracks)

Donny Schatz   (Unless he decides to stay back in ND and run his late model and chill)

If they don't make it, you will see one of the best regional shows of the year!!!   BE THERE!!!!!!

Nope.  That's not gonna work.  I know the flyer won't say that, but it might as well...................................What kills me about it is, some think these top notch teams and drivers would be at your crappy-ass track in the corner of the country if they weren't contractually obligated.  The orginazation many despise, is the very reason these teams come to their tracks, and fill the stands.  Puzzling.

"Yeah but come out and watch Kyle Larson and Rico dominate a bunch of amateurs!!!!" You couldn't be more correct. I see a lot of new fans on social media cheering this on. Obviously they haven't been around long enough to really understand the situation. They hate the WoO because a bunch of morons on Twitter tell them so. They have no understanding of how to run a business and they think Kyle Larson and Brad Sweet can slay their perceived enemy. There was never a bigger name in the sport than Steve Kinser and I'm old enough to remember him defecting twice and both times, was back with the WoO in a years time. Even Steve Kinser wasn't bigger than the sport itself. I don't know what makes anyone think a NAPCAR moonlighter and his minion, a Napa sponsored leprechaun who's known just as much for his bitching and whining about everything as he is his talent...which he has plenty of. Can't take that from him. But neither one of them mean as much to the sport as Steve Kinser and Sammy Swindell did in 1989. If they couldn't pull it off, these guys sure as hell won't. Their best bet is to not go after the outlaws but it's too late, they already have. Sweet has been backstabbing the WoO for months trying to lure teams and officials away from them and on to High Limit. What it amounts to is one big hissy fit and they won't get a dime of my money. I would be all for them buying the All Stars and keeping the tradition going like Tony did so well but what they've done behind the scenes has been absolutely disgusting and if there's such a thing as karma, they'll get bit in the ass by it somewhere down the road.

Imo the outlaws picked the fight when they limited thier teams from competing in what was designed to be an added benefit for teams to make more money. The outlaws don't have Ana issue with thier late model teams race wherever they want

Every team knew exactly what was in the contract when they signed it. Year after year. And they signed it anyway. Then decided to bitch about it. The WoO even compromised by letting them run a couple more races. They sure love that tow money that the WoO offer. Tow money that was good enough for Scruffy to tow a busted ass hauler full of junk out there and in just a few years time, build an elite team that attracted corporate sponsorship and won a million dollar race.

You are 100 percent correct but what's going to be interesting is what tracks are gonna jump ship to these guys. I believe in Pa the Grove and Lincoln are going to stay with the Woo the Grove always has and Lincoln with Gobrecht has ties to them as well with the ROY award named after his brother. Port will be interesting to see . I think they might get Selinsgrove and Grandview. I do not believe Brian Carter is gonna take this lying down.

If Port Royal is smart, they'll start talking right now with the WoO about sanctioning the 50. I know a lot of Pa homers won't like that, but that'll be their opportunity to make it a true crown jewel. The WoO are and will remain the #1 brand in sprint car racing. This is their opportunity to take the 50 to the next level and I hope like hell they do it. In the near term, it might seem attractive to go with the new deal in town but long term, it would be a huge mistake to piss away their WoO affiliation. Williams Grove stuck with them back in 1989 and when it all shook out, they used that to sign a major contract that gave them a lot control over the WoO shows in PA. Port needs to position themselves to be on the right side of history instead of going after social media likes. Some people will give them shit but so be it. Social media clout means nothing in the grand scheme of things. Advancing your biggest show and solidifying your future is something that you gotta do when a once in a generation opportunity arises to do so and I have a good feeling they're going to have such an opportunity when this all shakes out. As a lifelong supporter of the track, I sincerely hope they make the right call if in fact the All Stars/High Limit series brings on a split.

I agree 100% and then Port could also drop Flo and side up with Dirtvision. The price of Dirtvision will make many refrain from subscribing , and maybe get some more asses back in the seats.

Ever hear of NFL and AFL? Competetion made both better. Or is it Cart/Indycar? Almost killed both?

Bigger inverted  dash?

There are always 2 or 3 heavy hitters sitting somewhere between 7th and 12th.  So inverting the dash from 6 or 8 to 10 or 12 would do nothing.  It would only put these drivers on the front row.  So what becomes of the guys who earned the wins in the heat and the higher dash draw?  They draw a 12 and lose the night because of a bingo number.  Ridiculous.

This agrument was had at the Knoxville Nationals this year.  "You put Larson on the pole---make him earn it with an invert" they said.   Do you know how many times Larson has started outside the top 2 rows of the Nats?  An invert would have put him on the front 2 rows multiple times and then what?  He has 4 or 5 Nats wins instead of 2?   We just need to have the entire A main inverted to the B?  Should we have the A main starters all come from the C?  I'm baffled at how folks want this addressed.  It doesn't get addressed.  You show up fast.  Time trial fast.  Run your heat fast.  And earn a spot in the dash.  Period.  Knoxville Nats:  Show up fast.  Time trial fast.  Run your heat fast.  And get the highest finishing spot in the A on your qualifying night.  Why would you then punish a driver and send him back?  I'm so lost.  If I show up at a track and am told to drive the wheels off of a car, I would be pissed if there were a punishment for being fast.

Maybe it is just me, but after reading many comments from die hard sprint car fans across all social media, I am not sure the majority of the fans, and some promoters, think this merger is a good thing and I am one of them. Now if High Limits intended to keep the basic All Star schedule and incorporate the high paying midweek shows into the schedule, that is a different story, but it sounds like FLO wants a National Series from  coast to coast. I was willing to pay $40 to see the races at Grandview & Bridgeport this year, but will the average fan pay that if Larson is not in the field.? It will be very interesting to see how this shakes out.

I have to laugh at all the uproar over the Devils Bowl race and the open red.  The Outlaws are helping out their top teams.  Hmmmm  anyone remember a race where the top two racers in that series got the benefit in a heat(one slowed on white and other stopped on track and they totally changed the finish of thus said heat race).  Hopefully moving forward there will be a race director and not one racing.

I hope the HLAllstars does well but I dont think they will topple WoO.  There are those who hate the WoO...well watch and talk about something else.  Are they perfect NO.  Is HL perfect hell NO.

One of these series needs to bring back other tire companies, if only to force Hoosier to produce a better product.

I don't know if making local or regional drivers buy two different brands of an inferior product is gonna help anything but maybe if Goodyear comes back Sammy will rise out of the dirt and we can hear him bitch about all these young rich kids when they run him over.

To me, needing to run sixth in 2023 to get what twenty fourth paid in 2003 is not an improvement.  Not a fan of Reverse Robin Hood races.

My concern is the new arrangement will take the local feel out of what was the All Stars. If it goes all over the country how many of the current All Stars can afford or have the desire to do that? I know Justin Peck just went to California but the had a $6000 guarantee, would they have gone without that?

I always thought racing was to see who had the fastest car/driver combo. Why give others a head start?

fiXXXer - I've always enjoyed and respected your posts through the years here on this board. So with that, I would like to respond to this and I want to say up front, I am not trying to argue with you or lob grenades at you.

This is your second post on this subject that you've thrown absolute fire at Sweet, Larson, and even Flo. Respectfully I'm trying to understand why? There has only been one formal announcement made (yesterday) and that listed no specifics on how this will work. Everything else that everyone has said on here is based on conjecture. It's all been "I know a guy who knows a guy who heard...." - aside from the notifications that some current All Star employees recieved terminating their employment.

My thoughts (in no particular order:

- Stewart was going to sell the All Stars to someone. Shouldn't we be happy that it's two buyers who know the sport and have experience in all aspects, and who have no doubt a ton of connections in the sport to help establish this the right way. Would we have rather had another Guy Webb-type buy it and run it into the ground instead?

- Not everyone is a WoO fan. I am one of those who is not. I think they are a big reason for the cost to go 410 racing to have gotten so high. I think their format is terrible. I think things like their rule on merch trailers is BS, and I think the rule on just 4 "freebies" is rediculous. They treat fans like we are all born yesterday - case in point, this past Sat at Devil's Bowl with the work area fiasco(s). People can recognize BS when they hear it from their announcer and see it on their TV. My point is maybe some competition will be good for them. Personally, I'd hate to see them take over the Tuscarora 50

- You say what they've done is disgusting and warrants karma down the road. What specifically have they done? If tracks and teams are willing to move to to High Limit that tells me there is some dissatisfcation with the way WoO/WRG treats them. Why should they be be chastised for at least entertaing a better offer from HL? It's called competetion.

- Don't understand the hate towards Flo. I am physically unable to attend races in person right now. There would be no racing for those like me without Flo (and DV). Plus I live 9 hours one way from the Port. Am I expected to make that drive every Sat just to put one more person in the stands?

- Finally, to whoever said that Port should drop Flo and sign on with DV....that way people won't be able to afford DV and would instead be forced to attend in person - please tell me you weren't serious? Also, see above.

AgaIn, not trying to argue, just trying to understand better where you (and others) are coming from. Thanks.

How many teams can or want to currently run nationally or even want to?

Sweet, Gravel, Macedo, Gio, Logan, Schatz, Sheldon, Bayston, Zearfoss, McFadden, Price, Gass, Allen (Top 13 in WOO)

HL: Wise, Windom, Courtney, Kerry Madsen, PPM

Others: RICO

What I'd really like to see is a schedule similar to the All Stars, less races than the WOO, but higher paying.

What I foree happening, drivers are getting paid gauranteed money (tow money) only more, and higher purses, and a comparable championship points to the WOO.

What will be really interesting is, will the HL series restrict the # of races?

1) My fire toward Sweet and Larson is because I know a lot about the situation from behind the scenes. I can't really comment in detail so maybe without being able to context it properly, I shouldn't have gone there. I'm the first to bust someones balls for doing the same thing so I'm being a hypocrite. Apologies for that. I'll just say this: they're in it for themselves more than anyone. It's way more about control than righting wrongs or improving anything.

2) I don't hate Flo. I've said many times that Port losing fans to Flo is simply a symptom of their own decisions to raise costs continuously and most of all, doing a shit job of running their programs on a very consistent basis.

3)  I'm a WoO fan but they're not perfect. You bring up some very good points but their brand still has and will continue to have the position at the top of the sport hence my opinion about the 50.

4) I'm sorry to hear you're not well. I hope you get better soon and I've always enjoyed your posts as well

3)  I'm a WoO fan but they're not perfect. You bring up some very good points but their brand still has and will continue to have the position at the top of the sport hence my opinion about the 50.

4) I'm sorry to hear you're not well. I hope you get better soon and I've always enjoyed your posts as well

Thanks my friend. Getting old sucks!

Maybe I'm too optimistic, and yes, I'll admit to being a Larson homer - kind of hard to deny that, lol!

Through the years on this board there are people I've always thought I would enjoy attending races with and you are definetley one of those!
