Guys, Rider isn't the only one building the Toyota engine.

Rick Long at Speedway Engine Development is also building them too.

Pretty interesting the two drivers that will have them.

Hummm, maybe Toyota goes to the 26 team and they run the full all star schedule next year in preparation for the woo in 2022. In Wesmar saying it's pretty interesting who the 2 drivers are that are getting the motors. I don't think it's  the 83 team. Roth is the reason why. There is a learning curve with anything new and I don't think he has the patients for it. He'll be changing drivers faster than you can imagine. It won't surprise me to see it be a pa posse car or a knoxville regular. Humm, Pittman in the 72.

I'd hate to be a patient at a cattle farm!

Toyota is going to be working with 2 teams next year.  The 83 with A-aron and the #18 with this new look.

Not in favor of Toyota coming in & if to be allowed a 1/2 second than the competition would create a $$$ disaster for owners without the deep pockets. It would render the entire engine stock obsolete in order to be a winning force.  The competition is as close as it has ever been. A field of cars all with in 1 second of each other is just an amazing feat in todays racing. What is more amazing is to be able to dominate. Kyle you made an entire summer so much more exciting to be able to witness his abilities here in Central Pa. It's better off if someone doesn't. Gives everybody something to shoot for, not just 2nd place.

Looks like Gio Scelzi does have a TRD 410 bolted in the KCP 18 tonight for the All Star race at Screven, GA.

I have only one question:

What is the bore spacing on the Toyota sprint car racing engine?

Factual answers only please.

You are comparing a 10 time champ with an engine with 2 to 3 years research to a less Funded 19 year old with an engine in what???? Its 1st race.

Give them the same car and I think i could pick the winner.

Anybody gonna keep track of manufacture quick times this season, now that its actually a story line?

Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

I'm sure the guy who posts results on here in neon colors will keep track.

Chevy will be in a color and font you can't read, Ford will be in a color and font you can't read, and Toyota will be in a color and font you can't read.

A 1/2 a second a lap as in time trialing. As long as it is not a huge difference for the Ford or the Chevy to over come. After the 1st few races this year it looks like that the Ford can be the dominate force with Schatz back in the fold after a year of R&D.

The Toyota has already been approved by the WoO.

The 18 car ran a Toyota motor last night... finished 7th!

Maybe I'm wrong on this because I've never owned or worked on a sprint car.  Just a thought, isn't a new engine going to throw the rest of the car off a little?  A difference in HP still needs to be translated to the track.  Maybe my question is that you'd still have to maybe adjust a previous set up a little?

I think of it in terms of shooting match grade ammo out of a .308 bolt gun.  The gun is the same, it's still going to perform well with two different and almost identical brands.  You're still going to have to do some tweaking though

That was one night, and let's be real... Sheldon had the car to beat last night. He got stuck in a parking lot, but was pulling away and looked like he was going full Iron Man again. The kid has a bit of crazy in him. If he keeps the car on the track, damn.

Well the Toyota certainly didn't have a 1/2 second advantage, but it held its own. Plus, just one of them against so many other cars, too many other variables at work. The real test would be equal numbers of Toyota, "ford style" & "chevy style"

On the other hand, Schatz & Smoke's team seem to be figuring out how to use the :Ford". Time will tell with the Toyota program, right? Pretty good start so far. Makes it interesting! Smile
