700 people times 6 feet equals 4200 feet. That's only about 10 blocks long.

Better plan ahead for bathroom breaks....lol.

I'll follow along on social media and watch hilites on YouTube. It would be just my luck to get the PPV, grab a snack and they'd shut it down at race time. Hey, I went to Owatonna on a beautiful June day one time and the promoter decided he couldn't cover the purse and bailed out the back gate. Another time we went to Jackson and a hauler hit a low hanging wire and took out the lights and they cancelled. My bad luck is legendary.

Personally, I applaud TMAC for his efforts. As mentioned above I will support this event. Probably gonna buy me some McCarl merch as well to show my support.

Govenor Noem recommended not to attend this race, but will not stop it. County sheriff indicated they have no reason to stop it. I love SD!

After all these years, I now know that it was your bad luck for those two races! Both times I had brought newbies along to see sprint cars for the first time. That was a long drive back from Jackson. Hard to believe the transformation from then to the current Motorplex.
Was it also your bad luck with the Wissota 360's in Rochester at the defunct fairgrounds track? The track was over watered and it took forever to get the track worked in. The flag man couldn't get the drivers to hot lap - I believe it was Curt Lund in the Jackpot Junction car that kept flipping him off. The track lights on the front stretch went out during the A-main and caused a big wreck that included Wolfgang. Schatz won the feature with trucks lined up in the infield to light the track. I believe that was his Wissita championship year.
Sorry to take the post off topic, but Stan brought back some "interesting" memories....

Governer Noem is a smoking hottie and I would do whatever she orders me to do. She could tie me up and spank me and I'd be ok with it.

But is the Gov hot enough to order you to not go to the races any time soon?
I mean smoking hot is smoking hot, but even that has it's upper limits!

I wasn't at that Rochester race but I was at Owatonna one time for a 360 show when it was so dusty nobody could see. Roger Rager went hell hell bent into turn one and took out a half dozen cars.
I saw an article on ESPN this morning about this current race and took home two interesting points. It said that Adam Adamson owns Park Jefferson. Adam is a friend of Justin Zoch who I used to contribute photos and an occasional article to for Flat Out. I was introduced to Adam and used to see him at the tracks sometimes. The other point is that the governor of SD is recommending people not attend this race in spite of not implementing restrictions in the state. Local law enforcement has stated that they will not interfere. Based on my understanding of this virus I think they are approaching this as safely as possible. The processing plants that have been hit by this thing are in Sioux Falls and Worthington and there was some crossover of families between the two plants. Personally I'm over sixty and manage high BP so I won't be attending any races until this thing subsides and even if I wanted to it's too far.
I am undecided on the PPV. I sold my wife on a year of Floracing and assured her it would provide all the racing I could handle at no further expense. Now it's all iRacing and reruns that I am not watching (I'm not a reruns kind of guy) so it would be a tough sell. I screwed up on a cancellation last year and spent over $150 before I caught my mistake so PPV is a dirty word around my house and Kyle stands a better chance of redeeming himself than I do.

My chief in the Navy told a bunch of us drunken sailors not to go to Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando. Guess where the first place we went to was?
The governor is powerless.

There will be no line. Tickets are sold. Using "touchless" entry to scan tickets.

Love dirt racing, but common sense tells me this is not a good idea. I'm from the current hotbed and my best friends sister and brother-in-law both have Corona. Brother in law pulled through, sister may not.
Sorry kids, but 50 years is not enough to check out early.
Beings that your average dirt race fan is overweight and loves tobacco and alcohol, and most likely over 40, odds are not in our favor.
Hope all that attend stay healthy.
My old man would love to go, but he's pushing 80 and told me thanks, but no thanks......I'll take the net.

There isn't enough going on right now for this to fly under the radar. Mainstream media is clearly aware of it. I'm just hoping the sport doesn't get a black eye because of it.
