You're not being fair, though. During her NASCAR Cup career, 191 races, 0 wins, an average starting position of 25.0 and an average finishing position of 24.1. A certain rather popular male driver (name withheld) had a career of 473 races, 0 wins with an average starting spot of 28.0, and an average finishing spot of 28.25.  Quite a long career with similar, but worse stats. Generally speaking, I'm not so sure half of the NASCAR field year in and year out is there because of talent.

Oh yeah? Well how many Knoxville Nationals and how many WoO championships does Danica have?.... And did she ever get her picture on bubblegum cards?

(............I think that's how the game is played............)

Oh, and your mother wears army boots and your a big looser!!! (Shoot! Was that supposed to be all in caps?) wink

Has the Danica PR machine done anything for other female racers?

You are not being fair either. One had the best equipment for her whole career. The other driver was a journeyman who even had to start and park at times. Why did he last so long? He didn't bring big-money sponsors. He wasnt heavily marketed. He didn't win races. Very simple answer. Respect. He had the respect of his peers in the garage. It was a respect that was earned. Like or hate Danica she never earned that respect. She did nothing on the track to keep the ride for as long as she did. It was the sponsorhip dollars that kept her in that seat. She never won a Nascar race of any kind whether it be Cup Xfinity or Trucks. The other driver you used as a comparison did. If he would have had the equipment Danica had his whole career I believe he would have found victory lane in the Cup cars. His kid is also a star and winning in Nascar right now. That may have never happened without his dads connections and the respect he earned in the Nascar garage. Comparing Danica to the Buckeye Bullet in laughable at best in my opinion.

You missed the point I was making. Of course Blaney had and still has talent! That's what you missed. Even talented drivers might never win a NASCAR race. There are a hell of a lot more drivers in the history of NASCAR that went without a win than there are drivers with a win. Even GOOD drivers! I'm not and have never been a fan fo Danica Patrick, but for the couch potato drivers to say she had no talent is a crock of shit! She did what she could do in the seven year window of opportunity that she had and that's the end of it. Still a pretty fair achievement. And if anybody wants to make a list of the "failures" that came to NASCAR with a silver spoon, get started. There were others that faired worse than she did. Danica is not the only one to not get it done in good equipment. As for Richard Petty's remark about her never winning.....doesn't make Petty smart at all.....like I said, many many drivers never win in NASCAR. And as for Petty.....he had more than an advantage over the competition in his hay day and that's a fact! Petty's fortunate that David Pearson didn't persue NASCAR titles with a full dedication.
