Walker has always been super fast at Port Royal. Broke three track records in one night, think it was a WoO 2 night. The old "Gumout" series I think it was called. Went to the rear early in the feature and still finished 2nd behind Dewease. Can't wait to see him tackle the Speed Palace yet again. Did win a Speedweek race there about five years ago ... think it was for Jesse Keen (#17).

He was in the Sorokach 35, and it was the night following the aforementioned Grove incident.

Better test every driver enterring the pits that night then....otherwise the lawyers would be chomping at the bit for that one.
|
Exactly, test 'em all or test none. I've often wondered how many drivers' (from all divisions) piss would burn a hole through the bottom of the test cup if unannounced testing was done at any given dirt track on any random Friday or Saturday night.
Attempting to be a voice of reason in a world full of
irrationality.

I don't care if he deserves it, I follow racing for entertainment, nothing more. I hope he has it together for his sake. Otherwise, I hadn't heard about the Buch 13 making the trip before. Now it is. With a name that will bring more attention than most. He will be cheered and he will be booed, but there will be excitement regardless. I hope he has a good showing.

I wish someone would give Holtgraver a chance again. He is a much better driver and from what I can tell person compared to TW.

Danny Holtgraver couldn't carry Tyler's helmet bag. Ever. Period. Put down the crack pipe homie.

Holtgraver needs to get back in a local car and get on track. Problem is he wants a top tier ride, that's not going to happen.

Tyler is indeed a great talent but one of those guys that doesn't handle situations very well.
Actually Tyler was not put to the rear. Grove rules state you lose 2 spots if you go under the cone. Danny Sammons ran out of fuel. Tyler went under the cone to avoid a big crash. It was a crap call by the Grove officials. BUT, As much as I agree that Tyler had every right to be pissed off, he was completely off base by the way he handled it - just my opinion.

Are you telling the poster to put the crack pipe down or TW? Inquiring minds must now, and based on what we know, I'd say the latter is much more likely than the former!

I was telling the guy who said Danny Holtgraver was a better driver than Walker. That's not even debatable.

What happened to the Pete Grove 70 for Holtgraver? He certainly did well enough to keep the ride IMO. Haven't seen it race anywhere so owner just not fielding the car this year?

I get the drug thing, but can someone please explain this intersection of sprint car racing and morality/character?

Drug tests with no probable cause are a violation of the 4th amendment if you ask me. That's what congress ruled when it was THEY who were the one's in question to be tested.

The first thing that should be done before he is allowed to race (especially with his history) is a drug test. Only fair to everyone involved (track, other drivers and fans).
|
And you should have a brain just because.

I agree, but I think TW's antics constitute probable cause
However, 4th Amendment only applies to what Government can do, not private businesses. Here in Colorado, ganja is legal, but companies can & will drug test. I don't like it either, unless its a potentially dangerous job like truck driver
