I truly dont pray about. I should though. Only almighty God can overcome the love of an sbc in the soul of those spending Fords money on this saga. Casey Luna is starting to look like St Peter considering how everyone acts like its going to Jupiter and Mars.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

People involved with Ford started tinkering with this 6 years ago. I probably should smoke a little something to find the patience it takes to be a Ford sprint car guy .

My understanding is that 410 Sprint Car engines are built with after market aluminum blocks modeled after the manufacturers design with all special built heavy duty parts. There isn't a Chevy or Ford piece in them. As smart as these builders are I can't see why they couldn't make the Ford design work. Somebody educate me.

Its not the huge deal they're making it out to be but it is much more difficult than it should be. For the 37th time, most of the factory genuine Ford Racing heads (far more FORD than any 410 chev stuff is GM) are illegal in all 410 sprint car races. The Ford Racing D3 head, the latest evolution of what only Karl Kinser completely pissed off in his prime could beat for years in the 90s and exactly what currently destroys all comers in super dirt late model racing, is not allowed. Its stronger, is more driveable, flows better, is more durable and is just plain better than any other head on a dirt track race car today. Its the result of Ford's efforts in circle track racing for 30 years. The Windsor style head that the WoO girls allow has had next to no real effort from Ford. The after market companies' versions of the Winsdor head that have worked fine in drag racing are perhaps slightly marginal durabiltiy-wise.

With SHR changing there stockcar program to Ford, there is also talk on the grape vine that TSR will also move to FORD power in there sprintcars. Also the Wood and StanhouseJR have teamed up to belt in Joey Saldana in the 17w ELK GROVE FORD car could they also be a possibility of going to 410 ford since they already run 360 FORDS since both owners and sponsors have Ford backgrounds.
There already a 410 FORD already out there that could be re instated into the sprintcar dirt program build originally by ROUSH YATES (raced by Jason Johnson and there are a few in Australia getting around) so there is a start if anyone wants to keep on developing it.
Maybe a FORD PERFORMANCE backed car in Woo...............
