Can't say yet. But it has been a warmer fall than normal this year.

The Dude to TSR has been a rumor floating around for a bit...would be interesting.  If it comes to fruition would it be All Stars?  Doubt it'd be WoO, but who knows.

Someone had posted that the Dude had something in the works that would be big, but if that was the case, why say all those bad things about Big Game? Also, why say anything at all? Why not just thank them for their support and tell people 2017 plans are coming along with an announcement soon.

Have you ever met Danny?  HaHa.  He probably shouldv'e taken a day or two to let the sting set in.  We all say too much and/or "bad" things when emotions run high. He probably should've said no to Jeremy's interview for the article, then "no" again for the podcast.  Then again he probably doesn't care at this point...

I thought there was a pretty severe blowup when they split up.  Maybe not.  But if so I'd be surprised if Tony took him back.  There's younger guys who could probably run just as good as Danny at a lot of tracks.  Plus does TSR want to help a younger advance or an old one hang on for a little while longer?   Guess we'll find out.

Not sure what you are talking about. I didn't hear Danny say much negative about Tod, Luke or Guy.......he did mention that he thought it could have been handled differently and I do agree with that. A phone call? After two years and 4 titles? I think that's chicken shit actually! Otherwise I felt as though he was being honest with his feelings. Danny called to let us know what had taken place before it was public and sure he was upset, but he didn't bash anybody. If anything he seemed confused as to why it happened. As for TSR, if (and a big if) anything transpires there it would be because Danny is a free agent, not because it had been in discussion previously. One thing that may shed some light on this whole deal will be the vinyl scheme on the MUDDY/Big Game car going in to 2017. We'll see.

You pretty much hit the nail on the head here regarding Lasoski's last couple of years.  The one thing that I will say that Lasoski doesn't have that Jac, Sammy and Wolfgang always had is a hardcore fanbase.  I'm not saying there aren't Lasoski fans, but they don't seem to be as passionate as the fans of other drivers.  I think that plays a role in deciding who gets a seat a the table and who doesn't.

We'll probably never know the real reason why Danny got fired from this ride.  But, I would guess that Madsen is a better representative for the brand than Lasoski is.  Younger, more exciting on the track, and really well liked by a large percentage of fans.  That kind of stuff matters, like it or not.

You're kidding about well liked by the fan base right? The guy runs into anybody wants to tears up more cars than anybody else and blamed it on somebody else?  Very poor representative the sport also always throwing his helmet in the pits and always swearing at people in the pits .  I call that an alcoholic personality, and he looks like an alcoholic.

I wasn't saying he said anything bad...but reading my comment guess it was construed as that.  I was just answering another's post about "why say anything."  I thought Danny was forthright with info but was maybe a tad perturped with his "loyalty" stuff comments and mentions of back deal workings (again, a natural reaction and one I would've had too).  Honest?  Yep, no doubt (and I agree it was a bit fishy how everything went down).

"I don't know why I thought loyalty meant a little bit," said Lasoski, who is one of the top Sprint Car drivers in Midwest racing history. "In this sport, that doesn't mean much anymore.

"When I got that phone call this morning and was told the team is going in a different direction ... yeah, shocked is a good word."

So what are you saying that those things Danny said were "bad" things.

He didn't use any special adjetctives?  I'd call that mello from what could have been said.

Exactly! Danny was pretty selective on his words and very professional about how this all went down. I had my suspicions on Madsen bringing more than just a helmet and a seat to this deal and your last comment confirms that. MUDDY/Big Game won't be the only logos plastered on the car this coming season.

I like him. In fact, he's near the top of my list of favorites. Everyone that I know really likes him too and some of those folks are involved with various race teams. I know one thing, if you went up and said what you said on here to his face, you'd find out that he's probably the toughest son of a bitch in the pits too. There aren't many drivers, if any that would scrap with the Mad Man.

Ha! I still remember the year at the Knoxville Nationals that Jason Meyers was too busy pissing his drivers uniform after tangling with Kerry Madsen during a race and forgot to go to the scales which screwed the 14 team out of a transfer spot.

Not really fair to call him "alcoholic" based on looks, is it?

Madsen was faster at the Nationals this year than the Dude and has been for several years. Dude at 45 was one of the best of all time, but I'd take Madsen now.

Madsen and Dude raced head to head at Knoxville 11 nights in 2016.  Dude finished higher in 7 out of 11.  That includes the Nationals A main where Madsen suffered an engine failure... but to be fair to Dude, one of Madsen's higher finishes was also due to an engine issue for Dude.

I agree, that all things considered Madsen is who I would pick if I was going to run more than just Knoxville, especially if he's bringing funding...I'm just saying its not a clear choice even with Danny being 57.  If both guys were in equally funded full time WoO rides... I would say coin flip who would finish higher in points.

On another note...  Tony Stewart and Danny Lasoski are probably two of the most competitive drivers of all time.  They had a TON of success together.  Both are older and wiser, but both still have extreme pashion to win.  I would not be surprised for two men like them to bury any hatchet they may have if they had a chance to go win together.

Don't dislike him but he drives like an asshat at times. So does Ian better be tough when you do that.

I think NSL would be a lot better if it was 100% Jackson on Friday and Knoxville on Saturday.

The NSL ended up being the Knoxville points standings (Lasoski, Brown, I Madsen, Dollansky, Tatnell) with Madsen/Dollanksy switched around.
