Dave Blaney and Jason Johnson are going to be tough.

Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

Is Lasoski bringing something with 8 cylinders this year?

He hasn't been competitive since dominating for years with the Mopar.

1.  Schatz (would be schocked and honestly an upset if he did'nt win)

2.  Pittman

3.  Brown

4.  Sweet

5.  TK

6.  Swindell

7.  Tim Schaffer

8.  McMahon

9.  Shane Stewart

10. Dale Blaney

Obviously Kyle Larson is a contender, however I haven't done my homework on whether or not he can actually run Saturday with the Nationwide race @ the Glen.

1. I actually like the nickname used by someone else "Dollar Signs" Donny Schatz. There's no question he's the hands down favorite. He started 17th last year and had the lead at lap 21.

2. Brian Brown - Oh so close last year and is going strong thus far in 2013. The place would explode if he won.

3. Shane Stewart - No doubt he'll lead the competition in cars passed, but can he finally start in the top 10 on Saturday? If he can, look out.

4. Daryn Pittman - No stranger to Knoxville and the current WoO point leader. Led laps in the Heffner 27 2 years ago with nowhere near as good of equipment that he's in now.

5. Kyle Larson - He's young and will have a hiccup or two during the main, it's just a matter of how much it will cost him. Needs help with the pill draw on qualifying night to balance out his recent lack of time trailing success. Can't see him winning the big one, but it's also ignorant to say he can't win it.

I think those are your 5 drivers that can win...

6. Tim Kaeding - A career best season, Tim will most certainly be in the top 10 on Saturday barring problems.

7. Craig Dollansky - Always in the mix up front, not having the season like he was last year but will probably be in the top 10 on Saturday.

8. Ian Madsen - I've watched tape and I think he's the most impressive Knoxville local so far in his new team. Just beat the All-Stars at Huset's and seems to have the horsepower to compete with the big dogs.

9. Lance Dewease - Was not passed by anyone all week last year and has 2 consecutive top 10 runs in the big show. With a new team so we'll see how he does this year.

10. Paul McMahan - Great season with his new team and looks poised for a solid Nationals run. Will be quick time on his qualifying night.

Honorable mentions: Dale Blaney, Kraig Kinser, Sammy Swindell, Tim Shaffer, Greg Hodnett, Stevie Smith, Bronson Maeschen, Danny Lasoski, Terry McCarl, Davey Heskin, Mark Dobmeier, Stevie Smith. And of course Central PA legend  Fred Rahmer and former WoO title winner Jason Meyers if they make the trip out.

No particular order

Schatz

Brown

Maeschen

Pittman

Gravel

McMahon

Heskin

I. Madsen

Shane Stewart

Tim Keading

(Rahmer if he decides to enter would be a top 10 car IMO)

Out of those 10, I see none that aren't capable of winning (Heskin, Maeschen and I. Madsen are the fastest 3 locals currently and gave the Outlaws a run for their $$$ in June).

My next 10-14 would include

Saldana

McCarl

Henderson

Larson

Hodnett

Kemenah

Bacon

K. Kinser

Lasoski

Dobmeier

Hafterepe

Dewease

K. Madsen

S. Swindell

If someone times really bad and their mulligan (Friday) doesn't go well, we could see some BIG names in the D-main or worse IMO.

4. Dollansky

5. TK

6. Stewart

7. Swindell

8. Saldana

9. McMahon

Pittman typically doesnt perform at knoxville.  numbers 4-10 will be battling for 4th. kyle larson will be fun to watch if he makes the big dance

Theres your selective memory rearing its ugly head again.

You're forgeting the Dude coming out of the B into a top 5 with the Roth car and a front row start/top 5 finish with the Artic Cat #33.

A bunch of bad luck managed to keep him out of the A last yr.

I'd put money on him finishing ahead of every Ford in the field on Sat night.
