i wonder if the increased pa presence is an effort to crowd out other series.  the all stars just put out their schedule and it seems like there are a lot less pa races.  the dirt classic must not be all star sanctioned on its new labor day weekend date.  i only see williams grove once at the end of may.  all stars added selinsgrove while the outlaws added baps.  

it adds up to pa being a battleground for sprint car dollars...which shouldn't come as a surprise to anybody.  i won't miss those all start races since they haven't been as strong lately but still like to see those drivers come through from time to time.  

They have Attica scheduled for Labor Day weekend. No Lincoln on the schedule at all. That makes no sense since Lincoln made such an ado about the Dirt Classic being a 2 day show and indicating that it would be an all-star show. Now it's just a glorified local race. I can understand the Grove dropping some all-star races since fans there never supported the shows much but Lincoln was always packed for the all-stars. Lincoln should have just kept the same date(and the all-stars) instead of screwing Selinsgrove out of a 410 race.

That sucks. I'd rather have more all-star races and less outlaws to be honest. 

It's my belief that the wingless sprint cars in So Cal are already on life support. They run a fraction of the races that they used to and the quality of the fields has deteriorated (I'm not bashing the guys who spend the money and race, either).  Perris used to be their home track, but I don't really think you can call it that anymore since they hold few races there anymore. Looking at the schedule, there were only 5 stand alone USAC/CRA shows at Perris this year. Add the race held in conjunction with the WoO and the Oval Nationals and you are up to 9. In it's heyday, they would hold 2 and sometimes 3 sprint car shows a month from April through October. In the years 2000 & 2003 SCRA had 18 for example.. In 2004 USAC/CRA had 18. These numbers are not counting the Oval Nationals, either. I can't say that I blame drivers/owners for not investing in the cars if there is no guarantee of a decent number of home track events. The decline started when SCRA was ousted and USAC took over the sanction. That wasn't the whole problem, of course, but it didn't help. Add to that the traffic issues in the area, the aging of the fan base and now the State of California just making their plight that much worse and it doesn't look good.

The schedule looks perfect, wouldn't change anything. It appears we have the Kings Royal back to a 2 day show as God & Earl intended it to be. 

The four days in July at Eldora will be the biggest in Sprint Car history, as Tony and God have grown them into.    LOL.

Very much looking forward to this July at the big E and hoping the first 2 days are unsanctioned and continues to push the WRG towards allowing WoO drivers to race in non-WoO events.

I hope you are right.  However, If one of the 1st two races on that week don't pay at least 100,000 to win.  The appeal has left me.  I love Eldora and that week in July - however - it will not be the same without two big shows during that week.

But the appeal has been there for over 35 years and for all but 2 of them, only one night paid big.

The appeal for me was when the went to 3 nights.  Now it is 4 nights.  Last year we also hit the Doty classic on the way. 

If it goes back to 2 nights and the other 2 are not sanctioned and can't guarentee all the outlaws will be there.  I very really doubt I will be back.  I love the place.....but I am not traveling over 7.5 hours + a room charge for that.  They better have something big one of the other nights.

It'll be fine even without the 5 outlaws who could win.   Last 3 royals won by non Outlaws anyways.  Not saying it's not better with em, but it's still biggest event east of Iowa. No outlaws for 2 of the days won't change that.  

No way.  Give me the best of the best!  I started going to the Kings Royal and Knoxville Nationals in alternating years.  This year is the Nationals.  I am a little uneasy why the Kings Royal weekend is still not settled even though I am not going there this year.  I loved the format with 4 outlaw shows and the bringing back of the Big One.  If there are two Allstar shows and two Outlaw shows at this race going forward, I probably will not go back to Eldora for the Kings Royal weekend.  It will be a yearly trip to Knoxville.....why because everyone is there....the best of the best!

There were too many All Star shows at the Grove last year, by the end of the year they were getting poor crowds. They had races scheduled on 4/22, 5/27 (which was rained out), 8/26 (which was Twin 20s) and 9/16. 2 shows in 3 weeks makes little sense. I think this year's schedule gives Selinsgrove back a date and has a bit more variety. 

I am looking forward to watching the IL races on Flo in particular. 

I just want to see a good field of cars and a good show and the all-stars provide that. It doesn't really matter to me if all the nacsar owned and corporate sponsored cars are there.  

4 is a lot but this year there is only 1 and none scheduled for Lincoln, which is a real head scratcher. Not sure if this schedule is finalized but it looks pretty full. I am glad to see Selinsgrove. I think it's on a Sunday following the NY swing. 

If you want a quality field from front to back you want the outlaws not the jr circuit!
