Bingo, Sap! I wasn't sure if anyone would pick up on the Kingpin reference and did it just to entertain myself.

I laugh out loud everytime ol' Roy Munson knocks the shit out of poor Ish.

Great movie. Who could ever forget Roy's landlady? LOL!

it does hurt the tuscarora 50 to not be outlaw sanctioned since they'll always be missing those guys...who are mostly the best.  port is well positioned though if the tide starts to turn away from the outlaws.  they're probably rooting for the high limit series to take off and the outlaws to keep their rules about what races their drivers can run.

Don't you guys get tired of feeding him ? Your obviously not going to stop his babbling of port royal. I call it bullshit, 15 mins down the road he is probably at the fair getting some of the best food and seeing some of the best racing of the year.  Does anyone know or ever seen him ? So, I say bullshit, enjoy the race and he'll be back babbling about lap times.

Who you got to take the 50 this year ? Lance comes in as the favorite for sure, but I like this Tyler Courtney, he is always up on the wheel.

Yes, there are some on here that know me.  Yes, I live 15 minutes away from The Port towards Selinsgrove.

NO, I have not been to the fair or the races over there for a few years.  I agree fair food is really good.

However,  the racing on the track is nothing special.   Williamsgrove has been having better racing than Port over the last month or more.

Nobody misses or even thinks about the outlaws at the Tuscarora 50. The field and the racing will be just as good. When will other tracks and fans realize that you don't need the outlaws for a big race? I believe the T-50 has drawn more cars than the Grove Open for a few years now. It's a much better show without the WOO IMO. It would just feel like glorified outlaw show (like the grove open) if they were there. Port has a WOO show next month.

The WoO/WRG rules against racers not being able to compete as true outlaws used to do is a terrible rule. Everybody gets why they do it, and in all honesty the guys on the platinum deal are doing ok. I believe the reason it's in place is because of the west coast swing.  The drivers no longer stay with the teams, most fly in for a couple days and show up for race day then jump on a plane and head back home.  So why they couldn't get in somebody else's ride, a team car, or even there own car  baffles me.  Kasey could have had Sweet fly in and run the 9 car for example.

The other group of teams that I don't believe tow out to Pa is more of the Knoxville/Huset's racers. Brownie does, which I talked to him once about this and he said he doesn't know why because he and his team trully enjoy coming to PA.  It's not that the money isn't there purse wise. Both Tusky and grove payouts are right up there.

Keep lying to yourself.  You have three of them in the first three sentences.

Which track gets the better cars/drivers?  I will give you a hint.....not the 50.

Off-topic slightly, but the Gold Cup has really stepped it up in terms of purses. Full regular Outlaw purse both prelim nights, plus $25k to win, $2k to start on Saturday. The total 3 day purse is not far off of the Tusky 3 day purse, just not following the Dolly Parton method that most PA tracks follow.

Yes, they actually had a cushion for the gold cup last night.  There is no cushion at the Port unless you want to bounce it off the fence.

You're a fan of the Kim Kardashian method, I see. Ample amounts up top and a little more towards the back end.

Nice....

Maybe the Grove needs the outlaws to have a big race. Port Royal certainly doesn't.

I am not going to debate which is the better overall show. On another thread you said the Tuscarora Fifty should not be santioned by anyone Then you say it is not as good because the Outlaws (better cars/ drivers) are not there. Have you ever caught your tail while going in circles chasing it?

On to the racing. I picked TC as my winner this year at the Tusky. Well fast time 2 nights, he just has to get the changes in the track figured out and he just mite win it. That guy is exciting to watch. Good track and some excellent racing, lets hope it continues  tonight.

I will be watching my grass grow.....more excitement watching that than traveling 15 minutes to the slow palace for me.

Well you missed Macri winning from 19th!

You must have a really exciting lawn.... wink

Plus, Strawser's hero Brian  Brown cut off Macri in the heat & Macri wrecked trying to avoid him. Macri qualified for the A cause he won on Thursday...He was a good sport & called it a "racing thing" in the interview, but I thought it was a dickhead move by Brown.
Heroic win IMHO & poetic justice! Smile

I got a great seat (one of the last reserved seats left) by calling on the phone... worth the 5 hr. drive!

National Open might have a slightly better field, but Tusky has a more fun vibe, with the Fair & huge crowd. National Open is all about Posse  vs. WoO, & if WoO guys win, everybody is pissed off.....

It appears thyey had a pretty good race without the outlaws. If it was a WoO race, the winner would have come from the front row.

Doubtful.  Macri was fast no matter where he started.

He is not my hero and no Macri was right that was a racing deal.  Brian is the leader he can go wherever he wants to go while leading a race.  I would think that no matter who was in the lead.  The leader has the whole track to work with top to bottom....it is the second place drivers job to get around the first place driver.

Do you know why it is awesome racing tonight.  14 or 15 cars in the  warm-ups were in the 15 second bracket and a bunch more in the very, very low 16 second bracket.  If you are at the track the feature is going to be excellent.  Because razor Steve actually has the track where it needs to be every Saturday night!....with how hard they run it in...in today's sprintcar world. That is a fact.

Brown wasn't leading the race!

Seems you can't handle the truth....wink
