FYI,  the track, (Humboldt in this case), sets the ticket prices,  GA was $30 NOT $40.

If I understood correctly there were only about 25 seats that were reserved, right in front of the announcers booth, and yes GA was $30. Plenty of good GA seats.

And how many cars do you think would be there if it was a WoO race? Not a lot of 410's in Kansas.

You bring up a good point about not a lot of 410s in Kansas and that is valid. What I will say though, and you did not say or insinuate this but I see it done on social media all the time is this.

If the Outlaws go to an area with low 410 numbers in general then people start trashing on them about not having a good car count. However if the All-stars go to an area and maybe even the same area and have a low count THEN people make the argument about the amount of cars in the area. It's somewhat of a double standard that I see people make all the time where it is ok for one group to have a low count but the other isn't allowed even though conditions are the same. I like both and as I've said, I think both are worth the money to see. 99.9% of the time you don't have to choose one from the other.

Wel the only evidence really needed is Reutzal dominated the ASCOC the last 3 years, racked up a lot of wins, and is in 7th in points on the WoO tour. He's picked up a few nice wins to be sure and is fast but just shows the gap.

Now if you want to talk about the entertainment of the show or whatever, that's a subjective thing. I greatly enjoy both ASCoC and WoO races, both are awesome. If I had to chose one over the other for a night to attend, I'd go with the WoO race

Reutzel has done better in that car than anyone has in a couple decades. I think he was a little faster in the 87 though. 87 was an all-star budget car though, not a WOO budget. I think a lot of people do not realize that is the biggest difference in an all-star or top local team, and a top outlaw team. It's not that these drivers are better because they are now outlaws. It's that they are in cars that have bigger pockets - some have nascar owners and most have corporate sponsorship, money to travel and race as much as they want and money to keep motors and equipment fresh...plus money to hire the best in the biz to turn those wrenches. Sheldon, Macedo and Gravel are top tier WOO drivers now and none of them won a championship while running with the all-stars.

I am content with watching streaming broadcasts seeing as I'll be 70 and dont like the night drives much anymore.  When I do go I get a pit pass but I'm not sure where that ranks me as a fan.  Not that I really give a damn where I am ranked.  This is year 61 watching dirt races so I think they give out extra credit for longevity.  wink

the all stars have made some good business decisions.  being on flo is one of them.  i've been keeping up with most of their races since it comes with the package.  same with usac where i watch just about all of the midget and sprint car races.

hitching their wagon to pa for some of their bigger races is a good move as well.  it's a bit backloaded into september whereas the outlaws pop up throughout may-october.  they are worth the wait between the dirt classic at lincoln and the 50 at port.

star power is a bit of an issue.  courtney might be one of the best drivers in the country so he's helping to carry things.  i'd love to see a pa guy run with them regularly and be competitive.  i think marks could do it and dietrich was on track before he came back home last year.

You keep facts out of this argument mister.  I've made up my mind.  Don't you try confusing me with facts.

By what measure are the All stars bigger than the Outlaws? We're not talking preference here, but facts. Purses, crowds, sponsors, social media, Crown Jewels, driver and team quality, all in favor of the Outlaws.

Action IMO...

Ascot was the greatest of all time..

West Capital wasn't half bad either..

Life is good...

I know I'm in the minority but I prefer the all-stars. They have a really good group of cars and drivers, and are more on par budget and equipment wise with the top local teams in the country. Fantastic race at LOS last night! Hopefully the ASCOC can keep adding big paying shows and keep their talented drivers and team owners. I think it says something when teams like the 18 and 39 decide to head half-way across the country to race with the all stars instead of following the WOO to Williams Grove(from Lernerville).

You mean those teams heading towards home? Labs is listed as Brownsburg and 18 is somewhere in the midwest.

Been brought up a couples times, but at least 4 of the top 10 in ASCoC points are Outlaw level teams.

Comparing a regional series to a national series is pointless. I wll say WoO did ditch Big Sky Speedway. Sorry Montana, it was a boring track with low car count.
