So you are just dim, got it.

Im not going to waste my time arguing the severity of COVID. Everyone is set in their opinion by now.  However, anyone who thinks there is no difference in the spread of an infectious disease, whether you keep people away from each other as much as possible, or just leave things the way they are, is incapable of rational thought.

Also, if you think Sweden somehow escaped all of this, you are reading old data.  Sweden is now experiencing the highest death rate per capita of any country in the world. That aside, they have the exact same population as Michigan but is twice as big in land area.  Some of these comparisons are apples to oranges.  I heard early comparisons to how south dakota was doing just fine.  They should be doing better than most.......800,000 people in a relatively large state.  

He's sticking to the raw numbers because Michigan does lead in cases and deaths, ignoring the trends and that if we were having this conversation in a month, the story will be much different. 

Guess who comes to HH's for racing information and discussion but takes opinions that I see on here about anything else with a grain of salt.

Before this virus I didn't know how many medical experts we had in this country. Now I know everybody is. 

Pretty easy to talk crap about how they screwed up and the numbers were overblown now that we know more about this deal. The real experts were making predictions based on what little they knew at the time and without a doubt were erroring on the side of caution.

The same armchair experts would be screaming like crazy if this would have taken off like predicted and we didn't do anything to prevent it. Thats a fact.

Guess who is going to listen the the real doctors and not the armchair wannabes?

As far as the U.S., we've found out we need to build more prisons, a hell of a lot more prisons.  400 white people killed by police in 2019 and not a single riot or protest. How odd!   The death of innocent people during this uncalled for violence will be kept very quiet, very very quiet but guesses by political pundits (who dare mention this fact) are that dozens and dozens of innocent white people have been killed by rock throwing, drive by shootings and ran over with cars or burned to death in a fire that destroyed their business or house   These people are so freaken jealous of the people that work and pay their taxes and enjoy life due to their work that they want to destroy the country and they keep streaming into this country as fast as they can.  Jealousy builds and builds, it builds hatred.  We take care of my kids, we send  our kids to school, they graduate, they get a job, they pay taxes they don't fill our prisons and jails and court systems.  We are responsible Amerians.  But we as a country have been turning the other cheek for decades now, passing law after law to benefit the lazy-ass losers in this country.   They want, they want,  they want and then they want more. Screw political correctness.  Kneel?  Kneel my ass!

Lawlessness + liberalism = HELL -  NYC, Detroit, Chicago, 
Seattle, LA  Who the H runs those cities. 

Seems people don't like getting political on HH, unless they agree with the rhetoric being splashed around the forum. 

Thank you Hoseheads Forum for reminding me that for the most part, the majority of sprint car fans are uneducated, racist redneck bigots. I remember now why my support of the sport has diminished over the years.

Nearly twice as many people dying in 3 months than died in Vietnam over 10 years because of America's lack of simple hygine and discipline.  Well done!  #Winning

Yeah, whatever.   Another think you may be forgetting Einstein is that with the way Sweden has handled it they will reach herd immunity on this much faster than anyone else will.   That may become very important if this thing doesn't fizzle itself out, or if we don't get a vaccine.   The vaccine thing is not a slam dunk.   And did I mention they didn't wreck their economy and put a significant percentage of their population out of work?   

They aren't remotely in the ballpark of herd immunity - maybe about a tenth of the way there. It's going to take a long time to get there. During that time, they will have thousands and thousands die. 

Nice assumption on the economy. Maybe you should do some reading on that. 

He didnt say anything about race except 400 white people killed.  The truths that he said apply to all races on both sides.  If the shoe fits, wear it.  

If a person doesn't understand the value of a mask, distancing, responsible cleaning during a pandemic, I doubt they really understand sprint car racing and it's strategies. Respect others and be safe.

Thought Sweden had terrible results compared to their Michigan like neighbors? 

Canada has approximately 94% of it's Covid deaths by Seniors, culling the herd a bit early it seems, posted by a Senior!!

All truth.  And, to add to the real experts making predictions--------------everyone acts like they were just pulling predictions from thin air.  They were predicting based off of the best data they had from past outbreaks of similar diseases.  I don't fault them at all for their response.  As a matter of fact, I don't have a warm, fuzzy feeling yet.  I'll feel all warm and fuzzy at Christmas if this hasn't come roaring back.  

I'm with you.  There are people who went to school for 5-8 years getting paid to make "predictions" and have studied these epidemics/pandemics.
