I really wish everyone would just ignore this a$$ clown. Then maybe, he will just go away. Seriously, never reply to him nor respond to him. Just start a new thread. He knows it, he’s an embarrassment to the sport and an embarrassment to himself, and most importantly, an embarrassment to PA Sprint Car Racing. I’m sure the four tracks he has attended could care less that a miserable person like that visits their tracks. Now I know he’s up right now in his basement and will have a snazzy comeback. When he does, end the thread and start a new one. He has no friends on race nights and he’s got no allies on here either. But he still can’t explain the big crowds at Port Royal so far this season. He’ll try, but won’t. Again, ignore ignore ignore so the rest of the PA fans, no matter what track they go to, can have intelligent and factual discussions.

Williamsgrove hits it once in a while.......Port only hits it when it rains on raceday. Give me Williamsgrove anyday over the "Slow Palace".

Give it a rest dude. I'm not a fan of Port's surface most of the time including this past week but do you have to hijack every damn thread and make it about Port's track prep? Someone could start a topic about their favorite potato chips and you'd post something about Port's track surface.

I love watching sprint car racing, but I don’t want to drive all over the country to see it. I can drive 5 min to the Grove, 30 min to Lincoln , and an hour to Port. Major series are going to kill local sprint car racing. There have been many threads on here discussing decreasing car counts in Posse land. Well, it just dropped one more and one of the better teams to boot!!!!

No touring series has done as much damage as we have done to ourselves. There's way too many races in Central PA. We start racing in the winter time and by the time the weather warms up enough to where we aren't freezing to death every weekend, we already have almost 3 months of racing done. We need less races that pay more money. It will never happen because all the tracks are too greedy and would never even consider working together on a regional series like that. Throw in the fact that we have 67 different classes of sprint cars and we don't have the teams to support all the races we have here. If anything, the touring series help things out. At least when they come to town, we usually get decent fields of cars because the purses are higher. I don't blame anyone who wants to go on the road and race for purses that aren't stuck in 1986.

I really like this up and coming Driver, he has showed me lots in the various PPV's I have watched this year. Not afraid to gas it and has made some very good passes on the edge. I wish him well but it will be a challenge as this car has never really shown a lot of speed not matter the shoe. Here's hoping and best wishes to Brock going forward.....

If you look back to last season, it was right around this time last year when Paul stepped out..which just happened to be when the motors needed refreshed. I believe this year is very similar. From my understanding, Brock may be bringing some fresh bullets to the team as well. Seems to me if there is no success, the owners don’t want to invest much. So when done I d can bring it the table, they have no issues making a move. I see this as a lateral move that could end up being a boost. With his own stuff at home, he’s got nothing to lose.

I will not give it a rest until Stimely and Swartz get a clue how to prepare a track! Port has the worst surface in central PA.
Let's go Sprint Car Racing!
Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

just because you couldn't get any traction doesn't mean others can't. It takes a good mechanic and good driver to work in those conditions. The tracks you talk about, anybody without a brain can run on as long as they have a heavy right foot (no skill). Somebody that understands all of that can appreciate what a good team, mechaninc, and driver really is on a track that not just everybody can get ahold of.

I think he truly does think that but he's mistaken. I'm not a fan of their track prep most of the time either but I don't expect them to change it on my behalf. We have a lot of options here in PA and in recent years, I've been bouncing around a lot more. I still hit a good many shows at Port and since I'm at a race with my friends, I still enjoy myself but it doesn't do it for me like it used to so I go to Lincoln a lot more now and sometimes travel out to Western PA if there's an All Star show or something along those lines. That's just my opinion/personal preference. Strawser doesn't seem to be able to draw any distinction between his opinion and fact. He thinks if he wants it a certain way that it should be done that way because he said so. Port Royal is going to do what they want to do and that's perfectly fine whether I like it or not. I always have the option to not go or to go somewhere else so that's what I've been doing.

Agreed. I like the all-stars as they are a regional series and those teams are more on-par with local racers but I barely even follow the outlaws. I just don't get that excited anymore about the big budget series that only comes through the area a couple times a year. I'd rather see strong weekly fields like we used to have.

Way to many people give Port the pass on the track surface. I will not! They have done a lot of improvements to the facility and that is great. It is one of the nicesest if not the nicest in central PA. But the sprint cars are running 20+ laps in the feature....that is not sprintcar racing. That is boring.....not an opinion....that is a fact!! If they are going to be running that slow leave the cushion for the drivers to lean on and not slide all the way to the fence.
I have been to Williamsgrove, Susquehanna, Lincoln, Selinsgrove, Port Royal many of times since 1983, however, I can't go where I am not having fun because of the track surface.
I have been to Knoxville 12 times and Eldora 4 times. Most times these two tracks hit it out of the ball park as far as the track being prepared correctly.
Let's go Sprint Car Racing!
Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

Strawser... The Big E, is nowhere near the race track it used to be. The grove on Friday nights outlaw show had a wet/track and had little passing. Kreitz won. Monteith was coming thru the field. But, because the surface was as good as it was. Everybody was fast. You get a track that starts to slick off then you see guys start moving around, slide jobs, and passing. If port was soft and wet it would be follow the leader 1 groove racing. So what's the difference ?
