You think he purchased some illegal drugs??? It's legal in Cali... do the math dude. Who cares if the guy smokes some lettuce. He's one pasionate racer and a good dude. One of the best racers in Cali history... It's not like he pulled a Tyler Walker and went AWOL...

What an idiotic statement on several levels. Smok'em if ya got'em.

So what exactly was TK's big screw up that cost him his ride?
|
Nobody knows, so far only rumors and more rumors. Has anyone seen a police arrest report which are public? I know some people did try and came up with a big ZERO.. Some people on this board said it was a felony he was going to get jail time.. Did that happen? Has he been convicted? We all know Texas has the toughest penalty laws of any state for any dope.. Yes he was let go by Roth as have several other excellent drivers through the years.. I doubt anyone knows why he was let go except for Mr. Roth and those that work for him.. Remember we had a very good columnist writer who did have his email on this board and you could click on and read his article that came out about once a month, he claimed he himself and Tim did smoke a joint outside of Mr.Roth office etc.. Notice his ARTICLES do not appear on this board anymore yet he still does write them it but not here. I WONDER WHY? not hard to fiqure out why is it.. Until some one comes up with the true facts It is only rumors and more B.S. I don't know what happened and until some keyboard jockey provides the true facts it is only people running off there mouths.. Tim has raced in Australia for years during the off season and i was told that they do test for drugs there but i don't know if that is true or just word of mouth.. Some one started this post asking if Tim had a ride this year then all this dope crap comes out of the wood work. Have a good night folks.

Thank you very much for the answers I received. Very hopeful TK gets a ride and shows once again why he's one of the most exciting drivers out there! All the other stuff is not my concern or business.
TK ALL THE WAY!

Good to hear TK may be driving for Josh Ford Motorsports. If thats indeed true they will be a great team. Nice to know there are still team owners who exercise common sense and don't just knee jerk react to hysteria. TK in a quality winged sprint car is a winning proposition.
Cheers!

JFM posted drivers for the beginning of the year races as Kaeding in the winged 410, Trey Marcham in Wingless 360 and Hunter Scheurenberg in wingless 410. JFM has drivers in and out all year so that's the start of 2015 for them. In the last couple months, they've already had Dave Darland and Brady Bacon In AZ.

Just because the facts of a private matter have not been splattered all over the internet and message boards doesn't mean they don't exist. As for not finding any police reports, it is not because they are not there. It is because most people don't know what name to look under. Just because you don't know, doesn't mean nobody knows. It doesn't mean something didn't happen. Whatever happened, it is a private matter that seems to be being handled in such a way that there are people who are willing to put TK in their ride. Let's hope he can make the best of what he is offered.

And they had David Gravel at the Chili Bowl, even though they only had the 1 motor in the car, and it broke on his qualifying night.

WOW. If that rumor is true, he would be very toxic to any owner. There are a lot of things people will overlook, but the chance you could lose your equipment or face jail time is not one of them.

As far as I recall, TK has never issued any kind of statement. Whether it be a denial, admission or apology to his car owner and/or fans. That would have went a long way in rehabilitating his image. If the family business can't set him up in something, why should anyone else ?

it is none of your f'kn business to know what tim may or may not have said to people who really matter in this situation.
he doesn't owe anyone not involved any explanation for anything.
all he owes the fans is to drive the shit out of the car when they pay to see him. i think he has held up that part of the deal.
to indy and beyond!!

I have lived 3 miles from Eagle Raceway for many years. Attended many after race parties over the years. There was the famous 24 keg party 2 miles straight south of the raceway18ish years ago. I saw with my own eyes some WWW drivers partaking in more than Old Mill Light. 20-25 years prior to that Opperman was openly partaking and a legend to this day. I am not saying it is right, nor have I ever done so. I am just saying it is not the measure of the entire driver or man. If he did try to bring a large quantity on the hauler that was a big mistake but I bet he has learned and would never do so again. I would say if I was a plumbing business owner I would not employ someone who drove my vehicles 8 hrs a day all week.. But I could hire a million plumbers able to drive a van. If I owned a car and needed the talent Tim possess that is at a level no more than 20-30 drivers in the world have proven to have, I may amend my processes and hire for skill and manage for risk in action with the crew, myself, etc. Hell what do you think the NFL & NBA is full of? Heck our own NU football team has a know system and staff of "handlers". It is not like we are electing Presidents, appointing Secretary of Justices, etc who require a spotless record and in no way a dark past. Oh wait... The world and its people have layers like an onion. You may think you know it as the first layer you want it to be, but a few layers in many, many people are not the saints your mind makes of them.
Heck the catholic faith could cover it upright well only until the recent last 10 years. But then I just enjoy the races, not able to be judge and jury with anything but my front gate $ and decision as to if I find it rewarding to go as much as I used to. What impacts that the absolute most? Seeing drivers like Tim or not. Just my $.02.

The ironic thing is that some of these folks are probably up howling at the moon and pounding shots until 6am in the campground. Pick your poison and the other guy be damned. LOL

What I found ironic about the whole deal was that Tim stated for years he wanted a full-time Outlaw ride and then when he gets it in an excellent car he blows the deal up within two months. This was after he dumped his ride in Australia after that team was good to go and ready to launch with Tim down under. Stunning, actually.
