There is absolutely no defense of the All Stars regarding their point fund money.  However, I am merely stating that the guys bitching about the money ALSO have been guilty of the very same thing.  I read the Area Auto article...I think that was his dad, Dan.

Bert Emick and the All-Star board members who had a financial stake in ownership of the All-Stars when tne series was sold to Guy Webb have never been paid a dime. Emick alone is owed $70,000.

If Webb ever doesn't pay the purse and I doubt he tries it for fear of a ass whipping. Maybe he can use the money to pay for a engine he had WESMAR do for him. Or maybe pay a couple T-Shirt Companies he burnt. Or maybe pay a few fans and drivers back for pit passes and getting into the stands at a All-Star show then never was made up in Illinois, but I doubt he ever does. Not including a bunch of employees he never paid or gave a bouncer check to..

How about this. Sit tight and watch some racing.  All the nighth grade school girl drama is getting kinda old. He said this he said that blah blah. The stronger series will survive end of story. If you can't pay your purse, bring cars with your group, and pay your point purse you will fail.  Whichever series can't do all three will fail.

Well I started this post and I will end My view . Do Not defect a membership in midstream of the season. Don't start a new revolution in the middle of a season! You Paid your dues for a membership to the All Stars and you should get your points fund money, etc. If you think it was hard getting your money before good luck now! Blaney and Haud will get their money. If you want to start a new revolution wait untill  next season. Not One of the teams had to show their hand untill they were paid. The timing of this mess is whats wrong. Good luck to the new series and it can be done. In California years back The SCRA put the CRA out of business so time will only tell. And if the new series fails without tracks support that killed the USA and NST, then what?

I see what you are saying about the timing but the timing would not be good either way. There would always be an obsticle somewhere no matter what time. If they waited until the end of the season then they have nothing to negotiate with plus most of the tracks have schedules already made. I think they had to get some races in this season to bring something to the table for sponsors and promoters. Just going to the table stating that they are a new group and telling them about who they are will not do too much. With regard with the membership, the teams probably took that into consideration when they made the move and made the decision that was best to them. The thing I keep thinking of is that more teams left than stayed which is big. When people much rather leave than get paid then that shows how bad things have gotten.

With Regard to Danny Holtgraver, I can tell you that he and many of the others would not do anything to jepordize the sport. That guy loves sprint car racing and has a great passion for it. He is a class act and always takes time for his fans. I was at his pit area on friday at Attica after he won and a little kid wanted an autograph from him but I do not believe the kid had anything to be signed and unfortunitley Danny did not have any of those prints that you see some of the outlaw drivers have. Danny ran in and got his helmet and signed the tear off and gave it to him. Danny's Dad searched the trailer upside down and found some stickers to give to him as well. He went out of his way to make that one kid happy and have a good experience. I have also seen Danny put little kids inside his car after the show and let parents take pictures of their kids in his car. A lot of the Renegade and All star drivers do this because they care about the sport and want what is best for it. Some people may disagree with how they go about it but things needed to change with the All Stars and there is not one person that does not believe that. I do not care what was on Danny's nose wing at Attica or any other week, to me that guy will always be a class act for the things that he has done for his fans.

Really?   Guy did that? Geez...   How does that help anything?  Does that mean he plans to keep whatever point fund money would have been owed those teams at the end of the year?

I have seen guys race with the All Stars that had World of Outlaws stickers on their cars. I also saw FAST stickers. I have seen World of Outlaw races where guys had All Star stickers on their cars....

I understand if there is a breach of contract or something like that...but...given the circumstances, there was a breach of trust first by one party.......and now I think the high road taken would be the way to go...if you are forward looking that is....

You did start this post, but I do not think your facts are accurate.  While it is no secret now that Danny Holtgraver is on board with the Renegrade Sprints, he is honoring his committment to the All Stars.  Check the rundown for the first race of the Renegades at Atomic and you will notice that Danny's name does not appear.  Now check the All-Star website and check the run-down for the race at Mercer on the same night.  As you can see, he honored his committment to the All-Stars which is fast becoming the no-stars.  I know the family personally and they great are people...of the highest quality!  They are honoring their committment even on the night of the first race of the Renegades.  Before you post, check your facts!  Too many people post on this board on what they believe....it may be entertaining, but too many times it is inaccurate and gives a bad mark against the people the name.

I don't think too many fans are aware of how many teams and tracks are upset with WEBB.  Eldora used to have 6-10 All Start dates a year,  Its TWO now.  Of course Earl and Emicks were friends and such but if they still packed em in,  Eldora would be havng  them more than the currently do.

Musta really ticked people off when Penzoil, Quaker State or Valvoline cars ended up in  AMOCO Knox Nationals victory lane.   Or when a Toyota wins a GMAC race etc.

THIS IS petty.
