Looks like Zemkin could be in the 35 this year since tdub obviously won't be.

I feel bad for his fans. He had a lot of tallent, but could not shake meth, or the people around him who associated with the drug. Another great driver whos carrier was cut short by the evil substance.

Just because he is from California doesn't mean he is a good representation of California! He is a very taled driver and unfortunately is making bad life choices! I really enjoyed watching him race locally a few years ago and hopefully this act of stupidity makes me rethink where his choices are taking him!
Looking forward to the new Golden State King of the
West series schedule!

Meth is extremely difficult to break away from. My sister in law's brother has been through rehab three or four different times, remains sober for a year or more, then eventually falls back into it. I consider him a friend and he is a fellow sprint car fan, but there is little anyone else can do for him. The addict has to make the commitment within himself to stay clean. Not many are strong enough to do it successfully.
Tyler has a lot of talent and was great to watch when running well. I hope he can make it back, but he probably needs a complete change of lifestyle if he is to have any hope of kicking it permanently.

This is a sad deal.... I hope he can get help. Addiction isn't a joke.

I have read posts from Tyler Walker on here so I assume he will read this thread at some point...I hope he sees that people truly care about him and want to see him clean.. I have never met him but I propose that we as true sprint car fans reach out to him with posts of encouragement...

Racing aside, this is too bad, any person that is dealing with an addiction you can only hope he is able to get help. Whether you like him or not, he is a person with a family and they are also hurt from this, no different than the girl that was with him.
For the guy that says once an addict always an addict, you should let people that know you know that that is your belief, you'll probably get a surprise amount of feedback from people that you had no idea at one time or another had an addiction but beat it and are now some of the greatest people and friends you'll ever know, you know why, cause most people that have been through something like that don't judge things others in society do and are more likely to step up and help others and not just with addiction issues but with all kinds of problems. From the amount of wisdom that came out in that post I'm assuming your a 14 year old though anyways.

Surely this all a big lie and Henry C. has the real facts...

This is another sad chapter in the saga of a man who had everything he wanted but none of what he really needed. I hope that time to sort himself out will help him to figure out who he is and who he isn't.
More weight, more regulation, more similarity in the
cars.... that will ensure plenty of thrills for years
to come. Only the most average talent behind the
wheel will be needed with such awesome equipment on
the track!

Sad to see, I was one that stood up for him and thinking he had kicked the habit. Rick Weld was a similar deal. Rick went into prison and came back a much better man. Rick figured out C and C milling of every port to be exactly the same. A deal that people told him it was impossible. Tyler is going to have to cure himself of drug dependence, no one else can do it.

linbob, your thinking of Kenny Weld. The first guy to port cylinder heads with a CNC machine. We still have the very first set of cnc'd heads done by Kenny or anyone for that matter.

Your an ass . Once a doper always a doper . You must be one weak SOB . Ppl change there life styles all the time . And if and when he wants to change his he will. I've known some very hard drinkers and hard dope hitters that live cleaner and better than most on this forum. So don't be so blind and wake up.

I think I know more than a few who fit that profile Randy.

Too bad. Such wasted potential. I always enjoyed watching Tyler race and talking to him and sharing a good laugh. He was always very nice to me and many other fans. Just another example of how Drugs have destroyed many lives.

This is so sad to read about. Always thought he could have made it with the WoO if he would have stayed away from drugs. I strongly believe he is one of the more talented sprint car drivers in the entire world. But just because he made some mistakes doesn't mean you all should sit here and bash him. People make mistakes. Some mistakes just have bigger consequences than others. And just because your behind a keyboard and computer screen doesn't mean it's okay to bash the guy. He is the one having to deal with all the consequences and effects. He is also the same one that has to live through this and take it up with God.
All we can do as supporters of the sport of sprint car racing is pray for him, his family, and his friends. We are suppose to be one big racing family, but as soon as somebody messes up, it seems like all that family talk is thrown out the window. Families are meant to be there for each other.
