What all this shows is how restrictive the current rules are. I can't believe others don't see this as a problem. If a second Karl Kinser, Doug Wolfgang or Casey Luna comes along, we will never notice because his hands will be tied. When only slightly better than average talent like Dale Blaney and Tim Shaffer are the guys to beat, some things need changed. Open the rules up and see who the real talent is not just the guys that are willing to stick around and wait for their lucky day.

Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

minthead, put the pipe down, please. I read your post a couple of times trying to find the sarcasm, or joke but I can't, just as you can't be serious and expect people to think you have any credibility whatsoever. Dang, you know better....

Latsh, winning at different tracks is nice and will get you to the Hall of Fame where Lance is headed but beating the Outlaws on some of those tracks would have been nicer. I know he won in Charlotte but so did Blake Feese and a teenager named Kevin Swindell, soooooooo......

Some form of NASCAR I think, sure would love to see him back in sprints, very talented gasser. I've not mentioned Danny Smith either, put him in some quality, top shelf equipment and he can get around a racetrack, make that ANY racetrack with many of today's best....

Ask Haud what he thinks of all the rules implemented over the last 10 years. When Brian Paulis started winning a few in one week, Haud-like balls/talent don't matter anymore and that is a shame. Why am I crazy for wanting to make sure the best talent has a chance to be shown?

Where were all you Tim Shaffer band wagoners when he ran 13th at the Grove, and 13th at Port the last time the All Stars showed up in Pa???? I guess if you put a guy at a track he knows like the back of his hand, He should blow everyone else away!! Just saying!!

Most out of towners run about there at the Grove and he won last Friday at the Big E also, just sayin'....

The best talent, for the most part is shown when you hit an Outlaws show, like last night at Lernerville with a few very talented guests added to the roster....

Well JanetH

You can leave it any way you like. I am not sure every car with the Outlaws ( traveling the whole tour) are the best in the business. Yes the team had a Great night!! I do not agree with racing the other cars. I have built ( I mean Fab,weld, paint, machine parts from the ground up for these race cars) and wrenched on race cars for twenty years, The first thing I was taught was to race the track, not the other race cars. People get wrapped up on whom they beat!!!

I hear you, but the fact is, he's beating four of the guys you listed as "outlaw caliber" in the ASCoC East, running all different tracks? I don't know how you can beat somebody, and be worse.

Janet - please don't let the haters bring you down to their level ... you are a pure class act and so is Tim. Best of luck to your team again this year at Knoxville!!!

I truly believe that Shaffer and Blaney would be consistent top 10 cars on the Outlaw tour. They wouldn't dominate like they do with the All Stars but they are really really good. They will both be tough at Knoxville this year. You see Dale in the pits and he is just about as cool a customer as they come, always joking around and having a good time. You can tell that that team has a ton of confidence right now. And same with Shaffer. That team just has fun and wins races it seems like. They'll be in the hunt anywhere they show up.

Hodnett definitely put on a show Tuesday night, but Walker was really good too. And if it wasn't for McMahon's mistake, Walker might've won that race. He had moved up to third and was really rolling on those restarts. We'll never know now, but the non Outlaws at the show had a good night.

One last point - I was really surprised to see Jason Sides struggle as badly as he did Tuesday. He was not fast at all and just seemed to be in the way all night. Same with Madsen. I expected both of those guys to be much better than they were.

I am sorry you don't like my 2 cent worth as you wrote in your last post, the one you deleted!!! Whom I am, and whom I have wrenched for is is my business( I am not hear blowing my own horn) I think you will agree that everything that one does in live has room for improvement!! Racing, being a mother/father, working, yard work.... I could go on and on. My point being, the more you pat yourself on the back, the less you are working to improve yourself. My statement about finishing 13th at the Grove and 13th at Port Royal was right on. That being said, I think you will agree that your team needs to work on its short comings. All teams/people should work on their short comings( maybe this country would be little better off!!)

I thought this was a public forum, maybe I was wrong. Everyone has the right of freedom of speech!

I am not a hater of Tim Shaffer/your race team. I do feel they have alot of potential, however I do feel they need to do alot of polishing!!! No race team is with out their short comings.

Well I was at the race and McMahon didn't touch Sammy. Sammy had Tyler pinned up against fence and McMahon had a run on them and got by with no contact looked like Sammy wasn't ready for a car there and flinched which got him into Tyler. That's the way I saw it.

You must have been the guy with the German Shepard and Cane because the replay was much different. Sammy was LOW into the first turn and Paul dove under and he didn't stick, getting into Sammy. Most of the people watching on Dirtvision and Chatting there as well saw and discussed that version and had the benefit of Instant Replay, just sayin'.....

You are right, I did delete the posts because they weren't positive, and I am striving for that this year. After doing some research, I have discovered who you are. When you state above about room for improvement, you aren't kidding. I have always "owned" my words because without that I become a nameless and faceless poster. When striving for credibility, I find that "anonymous" doesn't hold the same value as someone who isn't afraid to stand behind their views. So, have a great day...and we'll strive to be better!

All I can say MSPN is that there was no contact by McMahon.

I wasn't going to say anything about the Sammy Tyler accident until Smoke4Ever said it. I don't think Paul hit Sammy either. I watched along with the other millions and millions on Dirtvision, replay after replay. My dad and I are convinced Paul never touched Sammy.

Tyler was extremely close to Sammy. Sammy jacked the car sideways, and his right rear swung out and knocked Tyler's left rear causing the wreck.

Has anyone asked Paul if he hit Sammy? As nice, and classy as Pauly is, I'm sure he'd admit guilt and apoligize if he actually did hit Sammy....
