thought at first that Ed would do a good job, but like everyone else was let down. I have read were he said he lost 7 and 8 thousand dollars. I think that is more like what he lost from what he was expecting to make. Everyone needs to keep this fresh and do what we can to put heat on the County to do what they need to do to keep the track open and have weekly races. where is ken albright when you need him?

If there not going to give up any part of the concession's how about letting a promoter run the track with out a price of $1200 a show or what ever the fairboard charges the promoter these days? That would help a little and the fairboard will still get some money. There not getting anything while it is sitting there closed.

this is a link to some or our elected county officals. they may have nothing to do with the track but i bet if we nag them enough with email on a daily basic from a couple of dozen of us they will let steve barnes or whoever the hell is in charge of this goat rope. And if we don't see results maybe we need to elect someone else next time. lets give them hell. all you have to do when you bring the link up is click on their name and write an email.

What happened to the sprint car guy intersted in the track? I think that the fairboard should call C-Ray Hall personally and if they were smart they would get on both knee's and do whatever it takes to get him involved with the track, I hear he is still interested from a very good source whom i wont mention

here is an exact copy of the email I sent to two of them , james simunek email doesnt work.....
I'm sending this email in hopes of helping re establish a solid ground in car racing back in Enid, Oklahoma.
I've been a fan of Enid Speedway since 1974, and either drove a race car or worked on a pitcrew from 1989 til 2010.
Here lately the promoters have gotten out of hand and none of them stay long....
The biggest reason for this is because the fairboard has taken all the concessions. I know on the surface it doesnt seem like much but it is exactly what a promoter has to have in able to see a profit for his business.
It didnt use to be this way until the county built the expo center and the race track as suffered ever since!!!
Its truly unfair for the fairboard to do this so I turning to you for help in getting this turned back around.
The concessions need to go back to the promoter with the fairgrounds getting a 30% stake of the profit from the concessions. If this would happen then the speedway would have no problem getting 5 year contracts signed. Please help us get back what is fair for the speedway. It was bad enough when the money was taken for the roof over the grandstands and other improvements to keep the expo center above water. Its only fair to see the concessions come back to the promoter so that we can get a promoter in here that actually cares and can make a profit.
Please dont under estimate the racing community, we are large in numbers and will remember everyone that helped and those who didnt help at election time.
Thank you for your time and hopefully for your help,
Jayson Ellis
