By gosh I think he's starting to get it, but we'll see..... The first timed lap that was made by a winged or non winged sprinter on asphalt, at Bristol, for this special event was the yardstick, and for a short time the "record" until someone went faster. The same for all the different kind of cars, and the bike there. Sammy's time and speed on dirt will stand forever at Bristol, unless they put dirt on Bristol again. As for your statement "Well then no record was beaten by Sammy because the track was different", is not true. The first car out for time trails that night set the record, the "yardstick", and Sammy still owns the record for a Sprinter on dirt at Bristol... Very Simple really...Now as far as the speed at Iowa and comparing it. Well those kind of speeds are nothing new. Dave Steele became the fastest Sprint Car driver in the world, at that time, July 3 2004, when he qualified at an average speed of 144.980 mph at Pikes Peak International Raceway in Colorado, just besting the time set by Jay Drake... OK, lets go with the but, but, but, but's again, along with my visual of you jumping up and down. Don't disappoint me now Hammerhead.
Kenny
All in all it was a fun deal, but as far as speed and excitement go's, the Super Mods at the Copper classic are very close to the top.
Half the lies they tell about me aren't true.
