Hang in there Terry. One of the best, one of the nicest...such a shame to have this happen on top of the earlier incident. We've got Terry in our thoughts & prayers.

I am lucky enough to work at one of the best tracks
anywhere.

Please keep T-mac in your thoughts and prayers. He is currently in surgery for a broken Fibula and Tibia. This happened when something came through the side panel while racing with the All-Stars at Husets speedway!

From all of us in suite 3B, we wish the best for T-mac and will miss him the rest of the year at K-ville. Looking forward to another speedy recovery and know you got a great son that will carry the Mccarl name in a great way while you are out. Just isnt fair that all these stupid freak accidents keep happening to such a great racer and even a better person. Get well soon and come back and kick there ass.

Terry's a great driver, a good guy, and a super promoter. I have to wonder after all the injuries over the years, if this is God's way of telling him to turn the page and become a full time promoter. There's quite a few tracks that could use him right now.

Terry suffered a clean break in both his tibia and fibia from a clod that entered the cockpit. Surgery was done at 2 a.m. this morning. They have left the leg open, because he is having what is called "compartment syndrome". That means there is a great deal of swelling in the area, so they are draining blood. They will inspect that tomorrow morning to see if they can close the leg up. If so, he could be coming home as soon as Tuesday.

Thanks Bill for the update. I can't believe the terrible luck that Terry has had this year. Hate to hear the news but glad that it wasn't another driveline incident. Get well T-Mac and Wayne. Wish the best for both of you and hope to see you both back up front soon.

Thats kind of what I was thinking too. I think the aluminum side panels seem to be much safer.

This is just terrible news. What a crazy year its been for our sprint car drivers. Tragedies, freak accidents and serious injuries. Terry's injury does sounds very simmilar to my broken leg playing hockey 10 years ago. Broken tib and fib.....ahhhh the memories....2 surgeries, titanium rods, plates and screws, took 5 months to heal and return to work. Fun setting off airport metal detectors!!LOL!!! Get well T-Mac.

Prayers & and the best of wishes for Terry, Lori, Austin, Carson & their extended family. Terry & Lori are truly wonderful people that go far beyond their best; as ambassadors of sprint car racing. Hope Terry can come home Tuesday & look forward to seeing him at the Challenges on the 9th & 10th.

Very best wishes for a full & speedy recovery from the crash crew at Parramatta City Raceway. Hope to see Terry race again with us one day. Us Aussie's are very knowledgable and are very aware of the happenings State side.

We've hurt too many of our friends this year and hope that the worst is now over.
