That decision is likely being made already for him. Don't think there's much of a shot of a full time ride in NASCAR next year. And also: SIlly Season.

Don't you dare chase a dream and much higher paying profession. Just shut up and do what I want you to do for my enjoyment, not what you want to do.

My 2021 World of Outlaws Platinum Driver Wish List: None. Zero platinum drivers.
In my dream sprint car teams are free. They can go attend any races they want and they can skip whatever WoO races they want. The 2021 WoO schedule faces uncertainty and no team should have to ask permission to go racing. In my dream, purse money still matters and the 2020 season has been a financial disaster for the platinum teams who had racing schedules that were dictated by the World Racing Group.

Just for discussion sake, not withstanding any specific drivers health, finances , family or desire, who would you like to see as the 10 or 12 WoO platinum drivers signed on for the full year? Please keep it to active drivers who could run the 2021 season regardless of any realistic circumstances that would prevent them. Maybe tell us why you pick who you pick.

Larson and then clone 11 other Larsons. Only problem would be that they would all finish 12 abreast in first place every night.

I guess that answer works since my OP said despite any realistic circumstances.
I have to admit I wasn't thinking that unrealistic.good post tho.

In no particular order: Sweet, Schuchart, Schatz, Sheldon, PPM, Macedo, Gravel, Rico, McFadden, Reutzel, Shane and Bayston to get to 12. Add Scelzi and TK to get to 14.

Also incorrect. They never had any intentions of running the entire season----it's not like they pulled out unexpectedly. They popped in and out of the tour and he won a ton. In fact, there was a stretch where he was the man to beat.
|
You're thinking of 2013. They were a "Diamond member" (or something like that) that didn't do the full tour, but was still paod via direct deposit. Race monitored use to list a DD after WoO teams and I asked Johnny Gibson about it in the Dirtvison chat. 2014 they were running the full schedule until the rig got pulled over after the El Paso race and Tim went home with headaches. That ended his season with Roth.

I wonder if the Woo did allow a bit more freedom to race outside their schedule. Seemed to be a number of cars race in PA on their off week early in the season. But the Woo does have to fill their own schedule to maintain their own status quo. This Tue/Wed race is a smart idea for cars and may show how serious the DD woo teams are about getting a few extra opportunities to win. Maybe the Woo teams are happy with the light schedule. Maybe their goal is the point fund and not the daily purses.

Cant bekieve Wayne Johnson will be back for another year maybe Tyler Courtney if he goes full time ,would be foolish for Larson to go fulltime *look how much cash he has won this year pickinng and choosing.
Same with the Pa. top four 39,48,5,3z and 72 if their is one plenty of money at home.

They all have run significantly less races so their expenses are going to be significantly lower

Get off of Gravel's ass. If you could go from a six figure a year
job to a 7 figure job, you wouldn't???
Probably not refuse the taxi ride but hell with your thought process you would
take the job and ride a dam camel for a six figure job and love it. Be safer and spend more time with your spouse and children.
so drop the taxi job..
