Can somebody help me with this pain I have ? I've never heard so many experts on medicine and how and why people are dying. Dam government plot (sarcasm) some believe it will magically go away after the election. Can you imagine that ?

A few notable omissions from the list: Brent Marks, Lance Dewease, Bill Balog, Jac, feels like there would normally be a few other Posse drivers making the trip (Rahmer, Stutts, etc.), some Knoxville regulars (Haase/Mincer).

The Marks one is really surprising.

Marks announced he was running for the Grove title in 2020. Of course the powers that be at the Grove have a point race this weekend, after a few years of giving that a rest. I don't think you'll see Lance go back again with the 69k.

Also, you have to remember this is not the Nationals. It'll be a cool event, but it's not designed for 100 cars.

You gotta look at the big picture. Your right Lance and the 69k will not be trying again. Teams have to look at where there sponsorship dollars are coming from. 2021 I think is going to be a real eye opener. Those local sponsors are taking a beating this year. How many are going to be sponsoring race teams next year is going to be a wait and see. I don't see it being good.

Very good points.  In 2009 to 2011 or so, it was a big issue if memory serves me.  Sponsors disappeared in all levels of racing.  I think this is going to be worse.  Hope I'm wrong.

Often the sponsorship is a write off for a successful business, so don't give up the ship yet boys.....

Ah, the old write off theory. No body and I mean nobody makes money by losing money. Yes it does cost them less if they can write it off. Say a business gives a race team $5,000 and they are in a 30% tax bracket. It really only costs them $3,500 because the other $1,500 would have been paid in taxes. They then have to consider the advertising value of that $3,500. If a business is having trouble paying their bills and staying in business and there is a lot of them now it will weigh on their ability to shell out that money. Staying in business will prevail over having fun with a race team.

Many businesses will not be phased by this downturn.  Many others will cut spending in unneccessary places to remain successful businesses.  Unemployed America has been getting "free" money for the last 4 months to keep our economy afloat. (and that is not a slam on someone who lost their job and is getting assisstance----it's just what it is) Whether that money is done now, or January 1st (should our bickering parties reach a deal) a painful reality is going to set in.  Without another shutdown, this is already going to be worse than the Great Recession of 2008-2009.  With another shutdown, who knows how bad it will be.

Zeb wise isn't going

He is going to spend the weekend in Central Pa racing at Williams Grove and Port Royal in anticipation of upcoming All Star races at both tracks
