Well I wanted somebody else to win, but not like that...

What happened anyway? By the time Flo cameraman focused on it, he was already flipping like crazy...

He jumped the cushion going into turn 1 all by himself on the restart in heat 2 after he changed his tire and restarted at the back.

The cushion in 1 & 2 was against the wall and tricky to navigate.  There were many cars that made contact with the wall in the same area that Larson flipped.

It was a shame to see.   Up to his wreck he was clearly the fastest car there by a good margin.

Certainly didn't want him to wreck, but it was a much better race without him in the field. He would have won by half a lap last night and it made the battles between Eliason, Madsen and Sclezi obviously a lot more meaningful.

On his own, he had smacked the wall just past the flagstand and flattened his right rear. It was replaced and he restarted. A couple laps (?) into the the restarted race he hit the wall hard in turn 1, hit it again and flipped up onto the wall. He rolled on top of the wall then back onto the track. What's hard to visualize unless you've been there, is that the corners are really banked. The wall is maybe 5-6 feet tall. Once he flipped off the wall, the drop back down to the track is something like 10 to 15 feet down.

Another win tonight. Another dirtbag slide. He took the front wing off the 1s.

Edit: It was the 1s, not 1a.

Which laps were the hard racing ?     I missed that part.     I saw Larson make one aggressive attempt to pass the 1S and they made contact and then it was over.       Logan even mentioned that in the post race interview.

Earlier someone was sayin Schatz had no competition.  While steve had sammy, wolfgang, and assorted others. The cars today are very equal.  So while Schatz may not have the quality of drivers to face every nite, steve always had the best car...always.

I'm from PA, so I'm always pulling for the Shark guys against the Outlaws, but that slide "was what it was". Hard racing.

Larson does likes to ride that fine line between hard racing and dirty slider. So, if someone gives it back to him, he better not complain about it. I don't think he would complain though. (See his reaction to Kyle Busch after the Chicagoland race from 2018).

I should make a bumper sticker....

Slidejobs: If a Californian doesn't get ya, an Aussie certainly will.

Didn't win, but looked like the fastest car in the track again.

Reputation intact as he destroyed the front of Bayston's car.

I havent seen any video. ut it soundsike Larson took Bayston out yet kept his position near the front. Is that the way it works IF you cause an accident? Or didnt he cause an accident? What shook out?

On a restart  Larson on the inside with Bayston to the outside. Larson cut the corner tight getting his inside wheels over the inner berm. When he slammed on the throttle it sent his car  across the track putting his right rear into Bayston's left front destroying the Tire and front wing. Bayston was unable to make repairs in the allotted time. Larson somehow escaped any damage.

My gut tells me there won't be any Larson apologists stopping by to defend his "hard racing".

Larson didn't even mention that incident in the post race interview.        He totally took out Bayston who had great track position and a fast car and Kyle didn't even acknowledge it.        It must be difficult for all the clean drivers because it must be in the back of their minds that a maniac with more speed is lurking.       It seems like that would be intimidating.

HEY, Guess who won that 50k last night ? I thought gravel may have had something for him on that last restart but it was young money taking the 50k. Anyone see his LR how bad it was blistered in victory lane ? He may not have had to many laps left before it went down. Really was pulling for shark racing, ran a solid 2nd for the most part then gravel car came in and finished 3rd. The 1s is the woo point leader, hope that's there big picture this year.
