Speaking of too long, what in the Sam Hill is Lincoln doing tonight? (5/30)

Goodness gracious.

Scheduled start time was 6pm. That is awful for a single class with 38 cars.

Tonight's start time pushed back 1/2 hour already...

Hot laps were scheduled at 6:00 pm. Racing was scheduled for 8pm, central time. I have never seen a short track start at 6:00, except on Sundays.

Outlaws do not schedule heats 2 hours after hot laps and qualifying.

Eldora has had hot laps start at 6 with racing at 8. Attica I believe starts each show hot laps at 6 with racing start at 7:45. Sometimes it's to allow the sun to go down a little bit to avoid the glare, other times it's to give the teams time to adjust. Really don't have an issue with how the shows have gone so far. 9:45pm central and about to go green.

What is the point of this post? What tracks do running their own show has nothing to do with the Outlaws. They managed to get the show moving other than hot laps starting 40 minutes after the posted time.

Where are you getting these times? It was racing at 7:30 local time and hot laps didn't actual start till 7:20.

Correction. Start time was listed as 7:30 pm cdt, both nights. both nights were done not to much after 10:00. Under 3 hours. Not sure what else they could do. Ya, they could have started a little closer to advertised time, but they were not far off. They have to give some time between events so teams can work on cars, get line ups set, and so forth.

Those times were based on Outlaw events, not just their own shows. Been to plenty of tracks that have 1.5-2hrs between start of hot laps. You previously had said they don't take 2hrs in between but, they have before. Will again as well. Not sure what caused the delay today since I didn't start watching till after 8:30est but thought everything ran fine & didn't take too long. Didn't feel last night took too long either.

Not sure what going on at Lincoln. 11:30  and still running A main. Now fuel stop. They still have 358 feature. Started at 730 with time trials for 410s. Glad I did not make the plus hour trip. Hope this is not the norm moving forward.

Just got home from lincoln. started rolling the 358 feature out at midnight. Lincolns new management likes to run marathons now just like susky, track sucks about as much too.

On a good note, I came home to watch the All Star replay , holy crap that was a good feature.

I too was irritated while sitting there watching tractors slide slide around trying to get the track worked in.  But once the show started it went smoothly.  Watched on dirtvision on Fridayt night.  Hot laps started about 6:15-6:30ish.  Then they spent quite a bit of time reworking the track after time trials.  Even still the show was over just a little past 10:00 on Friday night.  Saturday night again, the show was over just a little past 10:00 despite the late start.  And it was a great show.  Fast track and cars all over it.  I have been to a bunch of race tracks all over the country.  I haven't been to many tracks where you were done and heading home before 10:30.  Certainly, if there had been a support class it would have ran later.  But there wasn't one and heading out the gate before 10:30 is a win in my book despite being initially annoyed.
