Should have used "I got crackered" instead, thats acceptable.

Until they don't use it in rap music or say it on the south side of Chicago don't cry when its used by others. Faccinto shouldn't have used it but the overreaction is no surprise. Thats how this triggered society is today.

BS. I have a right to punch myself in the face. You don't

Lol @ the old white dudes. Pick one:

White privilege, but you can't say the N word

   OR

Potenial to be a victim of racism, but you get to use the N word freely.

I'll choose my white privilege 100 out of 100 times. This kid threw out that phrase casually like it's a part of his regular vocabulary.

The amount of people who look for rationalizations to justify using the N-word is confounding as well as embarrassing.

“Well, rappers say it.” So what? Don’t say it.

“When they say it it’s ok, but when I say it, I get in trouble.” Again, so what? Don’t say it. Why do you want to say it? Why are you trying to justify yourself or someone else using it?

I can’t be offended by the literal word because I am not an African-American. What I can, and am offended by is his choice to use the word, conscious or unconscious as it may be. When whites use the word it shows a stupendous and staggering amount of ignorance and makes the rest of us look like foolish idiots. The remainder of this week has shown Faccinto that there is a freedom of speech, but not a freedom from consequences. Some of the defenses that I’ve seen on various social media sites have been shining examples of idiocy. He lost his ride for the week and I wouldn’t be surprised if it impacted him in some way down the road via loss of sponsorship or something else. For his sake that’s a shame, but there are consequences for your actions.

Now, is all lost? Is he irredeemable? Absolutely not. He has apologized and seemed to be remorseful. I’m going to take the man at his word because to me, that’s the only way you can go. People deserve a second chance. I’m almost always in favor of a second chance, but with one caveat.  If someone was to hear him use the word again in the pits or in some other effect, I would be in favor of someone knocking him upside the head. Why? Because at that point, it’d be obvious that he didn’t learn his lesson.

HE REALLY HONKEY'D HIMSELF UP!

I would just like to mention that I'm somewhat impressed that he didn't finish the week out as it shows some progress socially in auto racing. Dare I say ten or more years ago that would not have been the case. Hopefully it's the last mistake he makes of that type, people are entitled to say what they want but the time and place are a critical part of making those decisions.

Also, revjimk I'm glad you posted about the black wall street massacre, it's an event that doesn't get as much attention as it should. Those types of sabotaging a society based on racial identity is the ugly side of America that many are in denial of. Sort of reminds me of the Nazi sympathizers that believe the holocaust was blown out of proportion or straight up fake.

One must be a man of color to be able to use the word as a noun or verb. Then it is socially acceptable.

The vast majority of African-Americans who are educated, possessing common sense object to the word being used in any manner.

I must say I was pleased with this exchange, it never would have gone this way at about the time Obama was running and becoming president when more than a few of the racists on this forum threw out the N-word like it was confetti. Some of you remember how it was then, don't you? It was about that time that I starting finding out that men I'd know and liked for years and sat with at the track at times, were racist bigoted ass holes.

All my life I used a term that probably several here have used to describe a cobbled up mess while working on things. N*****rigged. Its not because a person of color made the mess and screwed it up, it was just a desription of something that was done half assed. When the kids started working with me out in the shop I changed it to "Jerryrigged" or "rigged up". If I am by myself I now use "A mess of sh*t".

If this is a muddy part of your and other posters history, why bring it up again.if it wasnt worth talking like that then, it isnt now.

I wonder how Jerry feels about you using his name in a derogatory manner?

Or Christ...

First, because I felt like it and my assessment of the difference between then and now was a positive note, but make no mistake, a lot of those racist ass holes are still here. Really, you decided to admonish me for my post, really? Maybe you should waste your time with the members who first thought was to make excuses for Faccinto, and I'll decide what has "worth" for myself.
