Awesome race. Ton of action up front.

Unfortunate to see DV hasn't changed though. Don't get me wrong, they did a great job of covering so much action throughout the race, but I just can't fathom going off that battle for second to watch Macedo on the final lap. So irritating. It's like playing 17 perfect holes of golf and then tripling the 18th.

I'm glad dirt vision & highlights exist now. Years ago people would have gotten on here & said another boring race where the pole sitter lead every lap. But as Johnny said that probably was one of the best races without an official lead change that I have seen. Up until that point it probably was the 30th Kings Royal.

Battle for 2nd among 4 drivers & points where there was a battle for the lead among 3 drivers. Great save by Gravel & Schatz too. That could have been bad with any other drivers but they managed to stay off of each other and continue on. I'll probably have to figure out a way to go to this event in the coming years

That is what happens when you have a cushion. Great racing drivers darting all over the place.

Let's go Sprint Car Racing!

Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

Another great feature, been a bunch this year.

I hear your complaint and I want an explanation from someone, there is no reason whatsoever to show the leader a half lap ahead when there is a battle for a transfer spot, which is often the case.  Who's outrageously dumb idea is it to show the last lap and a half of the leader?  We are not dumb, we know who's leading, but we don't know about the actual racing elsewhere because you ignore it.  Is the cameraman clueless or just under clueless instructions?  Johnny, the racing has been the best overall in many years, I know you have the answer, can you share it?  If not, I challenge the cameraman to come forward and defend himself or spill the beans, or even better, follow the racing to the end of the race, Mr. Gibson will let us know who won.  No time like TONIGHT to start, thanks in advance....

This sounds like a pretty big event with the format and stuff. Kind of under pumped imo.

Did a driver get DQd last night, something about a foot member in the wrong place or were they talking about the Ascoc race and Larson?

Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

Lynton Jeffrey stopped near the backstretch pit entrance prior to the race starting, and was still technically on the track. He must have been getting assistance from a crew member on the racing surface, and he was immediately DQed from the A-main. This allowed Brent Marks to make the race as the first alternate. It was wild.

I saw some pics of the stands, Saturday looked strong while Thurs and Fri looked okay. The lack of a reallt strong local racing scene that you have in Pa, Ohio and Knoxville makes this event harder to grow it seems. They also need to pick a date and settle on it so that it becomes a destination event everyone knows will be at a certain time of year every year.

I was there and it was packed. I think they are staying with the last weekend in June.

I was there for all 3 nights.

-Great crowds

-Awesome facility

-Unbelievable racing action every night.

Cannot wait to get back to there for the 2020 nationals! Going to try and make it for at least 1 maybe 2 night(s) of the 360 nationals.

Johnny

Just curious maybe you can answer. Some where I once saw a 15.00 sec lap at Knoxville was 120 mph Average speed.

Not sure how this is measured? Apex of both corners and Middle of both straights divided by 4 or All 4 corners divided by 4.

But I've alway been curious as to what the top speeds are. I've been told upwards of 140 MPH on the straights of Knoxville.

I've also heard 160 MPH on the straights at Eldora.. This sounds High to me.

Thanks

Couple things re: Jackson.

Great racing and nice format.  For large shows like this, they maybe need to consider adding concessions or more options for F&B.

And one other thing, I wish they would either charge to park all 3 days or none of it.  Its a small issue with me, but since I didnt have to pay to park Thurs night (I skipped Friday) I figured there would be no charge Saturday. Its only $5...but the consistency threw me off.  Grabbed some cash at ATM before races and didnt account for that $5.  Again...not a huge deal, but small annoyance.

If you are ever passing by Jackson for any reason and are hungry, you must go to Kat's Hog Heaven downtown Jackson. Food and service are out of this world amazing.

Last. Next year need to coordinate with the ASCoC and see if they can take some time off their schedule so their drivers can attend Jackson Nationals.

+1 on the Ascoc.

Given what they are paying, ($3k to start, $1k to start B main) this event deserves over 50 cars.

And move the Nationals to the last weekend in July.  The weekend before the 2 weeks @ Knoxville.
