A game isn't over in the first quarter. This was a test & tune for Nationals, hope they figure it out

By the way, I don't recall anyone saying they were gonna "kick ass". Reasonable Posse fans know the 69K team is good & would like to see what they could do at Nats. Lance has had Top 10 finishes in the past

Then you have a very short memory.  I couldn’t begin to tell you how many times the words “dream team” have been uttered over the past 3 years.  I can’t remem how many times the PA locals have screamed “but only if the 69K was at THEE nationals.  Don’t feed me this line of crap that no one has said the 69K team was gonna kick everyone’s ass in Knoxville.  And for the person stating the Rider engine might not have been up to par I ask this.  How the hell did they get to the top of the board in warm ups?  I’d say they have plenty of motor.  They have simply been exposed as a pretty decent local team, but definitely not the dream team.

I kinda have to agree with you.  Like I said, I have only seen Lance race a handful of times in my life, so I was happy to see him there.  I take nothing away from him and there is a reason he is a hall of famer.

That said, there is a lot of back pedaling going on right now all over social media.  For the last couple of years he was not the guy that was only good at tracks he was familiar with.  He was the guy that could win anywhere, against anyone.  It wasn't even close last night folks.  He wasn't even in the game---not for a second.  We'll see what happens tonight after they throw the kitchen sink at it.  I would love to see him kick some ass so I can eat crow.  I was pumped to point him out to my 15 year old son and explain to him who he was.  He's gonna have to pick up a 1/2 second or more.    That is not going to be easy.

They used their Davey Brown motor last night I think which means they'll be using the Rider tonight. A few loud mouth morons from PA have certainly done some shit talking but Rev is correct. The rational fans in PA know it's gonna be a tall order for the 69K to just show up there and whoop ass right out of the box like they do here at home. I'm just happy to see them go out there and give it a try and from what I've seen, the folks at Knoxville are honored to have them there. No need to make this a negative thing. Results don't matter. It's just cool that they loaded up and went out.

The Rider motor may make up that difference. I believe it will have a few more horsepower than their usual Davey Brown built motor. The idiots who are back pedaling after running their mouths are just that: idiots. Anyone in PA with a brain knew they wouldn't go out there and dominate and that night 1 would be exceptionally difficult.

Not bad in hot laps.  Had a couple slow laps, then turned up the wick the last 2.  About .25-.30 off the leader.

Nice but I can guess what will be said, he didnt beat any WOO to get there, but he is still there and the A main will tell more story. And Schatz was beat by 3 non woo to make it to the B main.

Sounds like fun times.

I must admit I predicted that one. Fast in time trials and heats, fades in feature. Still pretty good to run 6th.

The top Outlaws have always had Knoxville figured out.

In my opinion, they proved how good of a team they are this weekend. They improved tremendously in such a short period of time. Congrats to the 69K team on a fine showing. You did us proud out there.

True.  2 different cars on Friday and Saturday night.  Looked strong early on tonight (this morning) but not enough to hang with some of the big guns.  Strong showing.

And Logan is becoming one of those top outlaws.  Wow has he been fast the last couple of times there.  May be a totally different conversation had he remembered to go to the scales last August!

The team left after the first night and stated on twitter that the reason was they didn't have enough spare parts to replace everything that was broken on the car.

Well, I was at Mansfield and what was broke was the motor, not the car.

Overall a very respectable showing for Lance and the team....Not all of us Posse fans are rabid homers ( there really are only a few posters that give the rest of us a bad name).....that being said, it is a feel good story. How many other 84 year old crew chiefs were in the knoxville pits this weekend.?

hmm

All this talk of 69k kickin everyones ass at Knoxville looked like an also ran in time trials and heat race. Don't give me any shit that he has not raced there in 7 or 8 years the outlaws only race a hand full of times at the Grove a year also.

Since you obviously posted this as bait, I’ll bite. You’re exactly right Lance and team struggled Friday as many of us realistically thought they would. I noticed that you didn’t post anything after they took their notes from Friday and ran well Saturday beating all of the Knoxville regulars. I’m not delusional enough to claim that the 69k is gonna come back in August and dominate but that was a hell of a recovery.

Yep, funny thing is that Donnie and Lance have always been one's to like their car set up to be fast at the end and better on the long green runs.
