Racing is a business, especially when big $ sponsorships are involved. If I'm a business/company pumping a boat load of money into a team, and getting very little for return (one win in 2018), I'd want a change too.

It didn't seem to hold back Chevrolet from jumping on board as the teams primary sponsor about mid-year or beyond.

Something kind of interesting is that before Shane joined the new KLR team (Larson-Marks) he was chosing between that and the recently vacated Big Game Tree Stand ride from Dollansky I believe. It has come full circle and he is basically joining that team now with Muddy on board. Kind of like he got both rides.

I have also heard in the past from a reliable source that David Gravel has quite the ego and can be a dick to work with. Not that he is alone in having that reputation but it is probably not the best atribute to have when your results start to slip. With Shane CJB will definitely be getting an upgrade in that department. For the record I think Gravel is a hell of a talent and have seen plenty of people with extraordinary talent that are lacking in the people skills department.

I think that has as much to do with Larson than Shane. If you look at the sponsors he's had for his Sprint car they're sponsors he's had with Ganassi and the Chevy sponsor is just another. Which is obviously great for Kyle that those sponsors are willing to go with him for his Sprint car.

I guess, but did all parties involved know Shane was out after this year when Chevy came on board? And of course, sponsorship is a big advantage and easier to secure for the NASCAR guys coming in to the sprints, regardless who drives.
