If his ego could win races, he'd win 30+ a year. Can't take a thing away from his talent. He's one of the best there is right now. I used to be a fan but just about every time he opens his mouth or hits the send key on his phone anymore, it's something of the same nature as what we heard last night. Get over it dude. You got beat by the fastest car in PA. He earned it. Quit acting like a spoiled kid.

Any videos of the interview?

I personally like the kid's ambition; he has the drive of a race horse chasing a never-before-hit fresh piece of mare ass.  To a certain extent, ambition can come off as ego/cockiness/arrogance and is actually good for the sport as it helps at times to sell tickets and put fans in the seats.  It can also be overbearing when it's the same thing over and over again.  Double D is like the proverbial double edged sword. Lol.  Not defending him, but he is still young.  Give him time....time will be the true test and will tell.

I'd suggest visiting a proctologist. He can prescribe you some nice soothing ointment to ease the butthurt a little bit.

I see Lance's traction control standing to the right of him in victory lane.

Horsepower and Set-up is to his right - 60+ years of it!

Traction Control second from his left - 35+ years of that.

I never get tired of seeing them win.

DB sr. sets the car up to what he believes the track is going to do. Right now, Lance is making the most from his set ups. It will be interesting to see how the season progresses for the 69k team. They have to keep in mind DB sr. age, how many races does he want to do ? or can he do ? The man is in his 80's, remember ! If the season goes well i say Mansfield might be the farthest they go west.

I believe I saw this photo somewhere. Thought to myself, wow that top wing looks funny. Haven't been able to find it since. Some please share it?

In an interview last year from the EMMR with Lynn Paxton, Davey Brown Sr and Lance Dewease, the subject of Knoxville did come up. I got the feeling that Davey Sr would do the Nationals based on his comments. What he said made sense.....to go to Knoxville with a realistic chance they would need to be there for two to three weeks in advance to get a better idea about set up and such. It sounded like the difficulty in that was with Donnie Kreitz and Dewease, which is understandable. Tough to take a month and go. Being a realist, Davey knows that to just show up would probably be futile in regards to winning. Davey would want to go with winning in mind. The years he won the Nationals he had Wolfgang in the seat, and Wolfie knew Knoxville as well or better than anybody, so showing up cold was not a problem with the Browns in his camp. Davey brown Sr with Dewease and a few weeks at Knoxville to prepare would make them a contender. And even then, it would be tough to win the A Main. But it would be fun and exciting to see them with a real shot!

Every year we talk about this, a strong Central Pa guy dominating the area, and oh wait until they get to Knoxville, they’ll have a real shot. It was big when Stevie was dominating in the 51 and now that Lance is domimating in the 69k.

Lance is probably good enough that he doesn’t need a ton of laps there to be quick, but the difference between being quick and being Schatz (and Gravel last year) is huge.

Lance didn’t even beat the Outlaws on his turf last year despite literally dominating everyone else who raced against them. They’d be a threat for a top 10 for sure, but I’d be surprised if they were a real threat to win.

I brought this up last year when there was a post when the 69k got caught with an illegal fornt tire.  I mentioned how low the right side board is (it's literally only an inch or two above the center wing and there is no vertical supports from the center wing).  Other's mentioned that a few other drivers, Brock Zearfoss that I can remember, run this wing setup too.  Lance was the first time I saw thr right side board so damn low.

This.  I've mentioned a few times over the past couple years that DD is absolutely passionate about the sport and is a polarizing figure.  Either way that is good for the sport and good for butts in the seats.  I'll also mention that he is absolutely welcome to voice his opinion on social media or wherever but sometimes there are consequences for what is said, true or not.  As a sponsor (not of his) I do keep tabs on what our driver says, but I would never hamstrong them especially when it comes to emotion and passion for the sport.  But I have to make sure it meshes with our brand ethos and goals.  I'll also say that I've met DD numerous times and he is one of the most inviting drivers to fans, especially kids.  He may be opinionated, but he had always been accomodating to fans in the pits.  Way more so than a lot of other "good guy" drviers out there.  Seriously, go talk to him before or after a race and he'll be engaging and talk for as long as you'd like (assuming it's not during the race program).  Always been great with my son.

The 69k was keeping pace with an engine that had about 25 races on it. Granted it blew up. That and an insanely uncharacteristic flip got him, but to say he can’t hang with WoW in PA or fimilar tracks is beyond dumb. The team’s budget is the only thing that concerns me but pretty sure Beer Hill and etc could fix that.

I can’t blame DD busting some balls. The track and ASCoC deserved it. There is absolutely no reason for the first heat of the night to be finishing past 9pm or the first feature done past midnight for two classes that equalled out to each having B mains. I get some drivers ask for it and it was windy Friday but learn how to prep a god damn track. Ask some question because other tracks have figured some things out.

I'm not saying this is why he is fast or why he' winning... but the wing does look cock-eyed in these pictures. There's another picture of this car Ive seen taken from the infield and the car is facing the photographer almost dead straight, while it seems clear the wing isnt facing the same direction.

EDIT: I think I may of found it.

A read a thing yesterday as well that said when they had the motor in for dyno that their motor came up about 70 hp lower then what the rest of the field would be running. Maybe the lack of horsepower and throttle control allow the car to run a little different then other guys mashing it to the ground all night

A little disappointed with the track during the heats and C main -- then Brock found the outside in his  Dash after a light track watering .Kind of funny, they put him back 1 row for being out of line for the start then he went from 6th to the lead in less than a lap.

Then watching Lance in the  A was amazing and made the whole trip worthwhile. Watching him operate when Davey and Donnie have that car tuned up just right is something to see. Someone mentioned horsepower in an earlier post but I don't think they are out horsepowering anyone   - just stuck in the corners, rolls fast thru the middle and doesn't spin the wheels . Great combination of car ,driver and team.

Love to see them at Knoxville in August

To be fair, Williams grove rules, as well as most other rule books, only state that the wing must be no larger than 25 sq feet, all 4 corners must be 90 degrees, must be flat, and the center thickness at the thickest point can't be larger than x measurement, as well as side board rules. There is nothing stating that there can not be a variance between the car and the wing, as far as any offset.

I my mind, that would mean that guys could tip the wing an inch side to side, offset the rear a bit, etc, without breaking the rules. We used to kick the right side board out in the rear very often, until they made a rule about that. I would venture to guess, that as long as the wing itself is exactly 90 degrees at all 4 corners, they can angle the wing however they so choose, as long as all 4 corners remain at 90 degrees.

To be honest, I can't believe that more people aren't playing with their wings when it comes to that.

Used to be a driver named Brian Seidel that raced at Selinsgrove in the 80's who always had his topwing way offset to the left. Not sure what the advantage would be.

In my amatuer opinion... angling the wing to the left would cause air to flow across a larger surface area on each of the side boards. I believe this would help the car rotate once the wing gets a side load through the corner. Not familiar with selinsgrove, but a long, slick track like the grove I think this would be a huge benefit. Also if the car is rotating easier, that means you can run less stagger, less stagger means more straightaway speed.
