Great interview!

The only reason they can put 1000 hp to the ground is the current Hoosier tires.

They used to run better dished wings and a lot of good guys still run PRO shocks.

God and Moses just need a sticky Hoosier. SOD tire rule is the answer.

Like Karl says it doesn't take a genius to figure out that an ol' farm boy can't afford a $40,000 engine.

Or $65,000 for one that makes 950+.

Again awesome interview, everyone should listen. A lot of history there. Almost the entire history of sprint car racing.

I thought he said the only way they can control that much power is to run the low gears......?

Didn't like it. WAY to short. Karl could talk about sprint car racing for a hundred hours & hold my interest.

I liked when he talked about how Mark had to start at the back of all races until he learned how to race.

When will he be on again?

Having Mark learn that way was just another of the things Karl did in his re"mark"able career...Smile  That did the two things he wanted Mark to learn....how to race, and how to pass.....and Mark was one of the smoothest drivers ever while leading, and while in and out of lapped traffic.  Mark's career was another great career cut too damn short by injury!
