4-500 miles of cow shit and corn dogs between race tracks and some of you could not accept the fact that drivers had a choice on where to race on Saturdays last year.

If you knew what the hell you were talking about it would be one thing......but at least you brought the "little" mouth 3togo out of the woodwork! You aren't happy unless your stirring shit, are you?! I'm glad to see a schedule come out of Badlands. At least this far in advance the other tracks can put together schedules that just might create a more cooperative atmosphere. If of course they can count on a stable decision coming out of Badlands. And too, the teams can then make thier choices and some sort of sense might come from this. The "apple cart" needs to remain upright regardless.....but when one continually flip flops schedules and commitments, it makes it difficut for all, and the fans, too.

There will be a story on Badlands Motor Speedway on SprintCarUnlimited.com Friday. It will feature comments from general manager Tom Savage.

Like their 1st 2016 schedule that had 4 NSL shows and the WoO show that they never had a contract for.

So Badlands, if someone buys BMS will it be in the deal that they must run this schedule?

Besides the NSL (and which story you want to believe) everything that was on the 2016 schedule ran as scheduled, plus as for throwing around names and sanctions...might want to pay attention.

Don't believe the WoO sanctioned race late in 2016 season was run.  May want to pay attention.  The WoO ended up racing elsewhere that weekend. But it was on the Badlands schedule most all season.

It was on the World of Outlaws schedule, too, until they pulled out in a spat over the race format that was going to be used. Should have paid attention.................................................

Who should have paid attention? When you sign the World of Outlaws, you agree to run their program and their format! Brennan was too full of himself to understand that he wasn't going to come in and re-write everything according to his whims. The WoO didn't just "pull out". I hope like hell the track gets sold and Brennan gets out!

Go back to all 3 sprint car classes on Sunday, run stockers on Sat.  Get rid of the paid driver scheme.  Pay what other tracks pay in purse and you might be able to make some money who ever runs the track.  Start being more humble when dealing with other tracks.  It just might work.

My post was in response to the idea that BMS was scheduling races without sanctioning series contracts and all I said was other than the NSL deal what race did they schedule without a series permission, and as far as the pay attention comment...well what can I say.

You "don't believe" incorrectly, the race was run as scheduled. In fact, Rico Abreu won $50,000 on the winged portion of the program in the race you "don't believe" was actually run, Chad Boespflug won $60,000 on the USAC National Sprint Car side of things, and the track paid out somewhere north of $300000, which was $50,000 more than advertised.  So, yeah probably false advertising since Badlands paid out too much money.  The fact that WoO didn't sanction the event had zero impact on the event being run at the track, on the date it was advertised to be run.

I suppose if you want to nit-pick you could say since WoO pulled their sanction, both WoO and the track's advertising was incorrect.  However, the track appeared in the exact same place it has appeared every night for the last 60 odd years, the fans turn out, and bunch of sprint cars turned up, they raced each other to see who was the fastest of them all and they put on a great show while doing it.   It was all quite lovely, really.

Glad the track is running some big events this year and looking forward to a full weekly schedule next year, as are all honest to goodness fans of sprint car racing.

Thanx,
Bruce

Umm wasn't it advertised as a the woo being there?  How many WOO cars showed?  I think none, pretty sure that was the point being made.  Congrats on paying "north" of the advertised purse.  Seems like that really helped out this year....  Have a great time at your 4 sprint car shows this year. Smile

Even though I'll probably never go to a race there and the road has been anything but smooth, it's good to see that we won't be talking about yet another storied sprint car track in the past tense like so many others we've lost over the years. Brennan may have been a horse's ass but let's hope from here on out, he sees the value in having decent relationships with other tracks and series. We all know this sport does best when everyone does what they can to work together.

Don't try to make sense of it all. Some of them don't comprehend what actually happened.

Ummmm, how many other tracks are allowed to change formats with a big race? Now, before you scrunch your shorts together, I know these other tracks have been around a long time but hasn't Huset's has been around for a while as well? I know Chucky is a newcomer but the track has been around for quite some time. Now, Eldora's Kings Royal pays 50 grand to win and they run a different format than the World of Outlaws run, correct? And, we have the biggest of all, Knoxville Nationals, running whatever format Knoxville Raceway wants to run while being sanctioned by the World of Outlaws (although in name only). I'm sure there are more but it just shows that there is examples where the format is changed for a track's big race.

Now, with the R & R Gold Cup last year, it was on the World of Outlaw's schedule all year until they realized they could not agree on the format about two weeks before the race. The Outlaws then pulled out, yes, pulled out and went ahead and scheduled another race at Angell Park.

And, as someone stated earlier, as far as the NSL deal went, there's one side then the other side and then there's the truth. And, none of you on here know exactly every detail. Just a bunch on here that want everyone to think they actually know something.

Is the Midwest the only place on the planet where the fans insist on driving a race track owner out of business and then complain like needy Democrats when they fail?

Come on man, don't be ridiculous. We've been very lucky in Central PA to have tracks that for the most part, work together. Of course there's been minor issues over the years with scheduling and what not and that's to be expected when you have so many races in such a small area. Thankfully, these issues always got resolved without much of a problem and life went on as usual. Don't act like those people out there are dumb asses for having strong opinions about this. We've never seen anything like this happen in Central PA but you know damned well if Alan Kreitzer and Steve O'Neil had a pissing match like what we saw between Brennan and Quiring/Knoxville, the fans in Pa would be extremely passionate about which side they're on. In fact, I think by and large, the fans in PA would be far more engaged. Many of them lose their sanity over something stupid like the WoO coming to town. Could you imagine how it would be if we were at the center of an issue like this? No doubt, it would make this messageboard damned near unreadable. Cut them some slack.

Actually I'm sick and tired of hashing out the same old bullshit with you and a few others that persist on half truths and distorted facts. Think what you want to think and spew whatever you want. But be careful, your hero has crapped on all of you (us) and the drivers and teams before, by tentative scheduling, playing games, and by eliminating a full 2017 season. And he may not be done changing his mind and adjusting his "commitments", yet.  Just sayin'........

The stupidity is strong with this one.  First off it's you're not your, simple English.  I live in CO im not from CO.  I'll stick with PPV and my 5 trips back to the Midwest (where I'm from) for the time being.  Have a great summer!
