Was a big fan of his dad so I became a fan of Stevie right away (1984). Remember him winning his first Tuscarora 50 in 1988 and that was a total spanking. Next year he was running the Hamilton #77 and then soon it was the Outlaws. I would assume his greatest accomplishment was finishing 2nd in the Mopar Million without a wing and I don't think he ever raced that way before. And I saw Stevie win at as many tracks as anybody in Central PA and the surrounding area. Will miss seeing the Bandit but I can always wear his shirts!!

When Stevie hit the road with the Outlaws with Hamilton back in the early '90's it was easy to predict that he would be the WoO rookie of the year. Hindsight is 20/20 but back then I predicted Stevie would end up putting up Steve Kinser like numbers. That's how much I thought of him. I was there when rain and an open red robbed him of his only Knoxville Nationals win (1993). That was my first time there and they say you never forget your first :-). Steve is, has been, and always will be a class act. I wish him all the best whatever he does moving forward. (Chris Lovett)
