81 Speedway Season Finale Recap; More Racing Forthcoming!

 

Park City, Kansas – September 27, 2015 - The “All Day Sucker” concluded the final weekly point race season at 81 Speedway in Park City, Kansas on Saturday with a total of 99 cars representing nine divisions on hand from noon until dark. And when the dust settled, new and repeat track champions would earn championships with a couple drivers also earning their first career victories to close out the 2015 weekly race season.

Justin Kinderknecht earned the victory of the tracks mod-lite division over a twelve car field with Jason Roe picking up the championship.

In the hornet division it was Brady Robe earning his first career feature victory in the hornet division while Ricky Bonham taking home the divisions championship.

Jake Greider won the tracks 305-ci sprint car championship while Jeremy Campbell won the 360-ci sprint car feature finale to solidify the track championship.

Cameron Whitford out dueled a strong field 18 thumper drivers to win the season finale as well as the championship.

Gary Kilborn won the season finale in the street stock division while David Blocher earned the champion in that division.

In the Alternative Pest Management rookie modified division, Johnny Cammon out ran a strong eighteen car field to win the feature finale with Dave Decker the track champion.

Richie Wilson got the best of a twelve car field in the Economy Motors AAA modified division with Richard Wilson earning the track championship.

And in Credit King modified division it was Dan Powers winning his third straight and fifth overall weekly modified feature, propelling him to also claim the divisions track championship.

All the track champions as well as top ten in all divisions mentioned above will be officially crowned at the tracks year-end banquet on January 30, 2016 inside the Cotillion Ballroom in Wichita, Kansas. Details and reservation information is forthcoming.

This does not end the season at 81 Speedway as plenty of dirt track racing action is still scheduled for the month of October. It all kicks off next Saturday night (October 3) featuring the National Championship Racing Association modified division and the season finale for the NCRA/NeSmith crate Weekly Racing Series late model division. One week later (October 10) the NCRA 360-ci sprint car division will wrap up their 2015 race season with the tracks street stock, thumper and hornet divisions also on the race card. Crash, bang and smack them up action takes place on October 17 as the track will host a demolition derby. The 2015 dirt track race season at 81 Speedway will officially come to a close on Saturday night, October 24, as the NCRA modified and mod-lite divisions will wrap up their series point season. Also running will be a special “B modified. Details on this exciting 2015 finale are forthcoming.
